Linear impedance of 25Na2O–20CaO–5P2O5–50SiO2 glass measured with impedance spectroscopy method at low temperature region
Description
The linear electrical properties of 25Na2O–20CaO–5P2O5–50SiO2 glass was measured by impedance spectroscopy method.
The glass 25Na2O–20CaO–5P2O5–50SiO2 (in mol%) was melted from reagents: NaH2PO3 (C 99.5% SIGMA
ALDRICH), Na2CO3 (99.9 % ChemPur GmbH), CaCO3 (99.9 % ChemPur GmbH) and SiO2 (99.99% ChemPur GmbH). Alumina crucibles were used for melting at temperatures of 1350 degC, under air atmosphere. The melts were quenched onto brass plate. The exact composition of melted samples was studied with the use of SEM-EDS and was found to be Na18.3Ca6.5P3.6Si16.1O55.5 (in at%).
For the electrical measurements gold electrodes were evaporated at the preheated and grinded samples. Impedance measurements were carried out in the temperature range from 153 K to 423 K, in the frequency range from 10mHz to 1 MHz and with the ac voltage of 1 Vrms with Concept 40 broadband dielectric spectrometer.
