Heat transfer and pressure drop during condensation in minichannels of new refrigeration fluids at the parameters close to thermodynamic critical point

Project “Heat transfer and pressure drop during condensation in minichannels of new refrigeration fluids at the parameters close to thermodynamic critical point” is based on experimental research. Existing laboratory bench for measurement of heat transfer coefficient during boiling at near critical parameters will be modified. Condensation test section will be installed. Three refrigerants will be tested (HFE7200, SES36, R1233zd(e)). Condensation test section will consist from copper 3 mm diameter tube inside outer steel tube. Refrigerant will flow inside 3mm diameter channel while coolant will flow between tubes. In first coolant loop water will flow in high velocity (above 20 g/s) to ensure high heat transfer coefficient on water side and low temperature difference between an inlet and an outlet of the test section. First cooling loop, will be cooled with second cooling loop with water on low flow rate, what will allow achieve high temperature gradient to accurately determine heat duty of the test section. After obtaining experimentally results in house correlation will be modified to account for increased values of reduced pressure. During work valuable publications will be written. Laboratory apparatus will be expanded. Unit will receive indirect funds also.
