The competitive advantage of Ppomorskie Voivodeship in strategic documents based on the Regional Innovation Strategy
Abstract
The article presents and discusses the main assumptions and courses of action contained in the innovation strategy for Pomorskie voivodeship with respect to building the competitive advantage The considerations are preceded by analyses concerning the interpretation and meaning of the following concepts in contemporary economy (with special emphasis on their regional context): competitiveness, competitive advantage and innovation, as well as the position and role of regional innovation strategies, which constitute one of the crucial instruments of innovation creation, in the increased use and development of R&D potential and in improving the voivodeship's competitiveness. A short profile of Pomorskie voivodeship provides the background for the considerations. Artykuł przedstawia i omawia główne założenia i kierunki działań zawarte w strategii innowacji dla województwa pomorskiego z punktu widzenia budowy przewagi konkurencyjnej. Rozważania poprzedzono analizami na temat interpretacji i znaczenia we współczesnej gospodarce następujących pojęć (ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem ich regionalnego kontekstu): konkurencyjność, przewaga konkurencyjna, innowacje, a także miejsca i roli regionalnych strategii innowacji, stanowiących jeden z ważniejszych instrumentów kreowania innowacji, we wzroście wykorzystania i rozwoju potencjału badawczo-rozwojowego oraz podniesienia konkurencyjności województwa. Tłem rozważań jest przedstawiona w skrócie charakterystyka województwa pomorskiego.
