The antitumor derivatives, C1305 and C1748, were different in effects on CYP3A4 expression and catalytic activity in HepG2 cells
PublicationCytochromy P450 (CYP) należą do grupy enzymów biorących udział w 70-80% metabolizmu fazy I większości stosowanych klinicznie leków.

Synthesis and biological activity of tuftsin, its analogues and conjugates containing muramyl dipeptides of nor-muramyl dipeptides
PublicationOpisano syntezę koniugatów MDP oraz nor-MDP modyfikowanych w części peptydowej tuftsyną oraz pochodną tuftsyny zawierającą grupę nitrową. Zsyntetyzowane związki zostały przebadane in vitro na ludzkich monocytach i limfocytach w Akademii Medycznej w Gdańsku. Niektóre z nich wykazały szybsze i skuteczniejsze działanie w porównaniu z tuftsyną.

Synthesis of N-doped TiO2 nanoparticles with enhanced photocatalytic activity for 2,4-dichlorophenol degradation and H2 production
PublicationNitrogen-doped titanium dioxide (N-TiO2) nanoparticles were prepared using a modified sol-gel method. The as-prepared nanoparticles were characterized by state-of-the-art techniques for their optical, structural and morphological properties. The crystallite size, surface area and bandgap energy of reference TiO2 and N-TiO2 nanoparticles were found to be 16.1 and 10.9 nm, 83.6 and 131.8 m2 g−1 and 3.23 and 2.89 eV, respectively....

Ground lemon and stevia leaves as renewable functional fillers with antioxidant activity for high-density polyethylene composites
PublicationThe development of new sustainable material solutions in the processing of thermoplastic polymers concerns both the application of biopolymers and the use of valorized plant derivatives as fillers and modifiers of petrochemical polymers. Herein, the possibility of using unprocessed raw parts of two commonly used in the food industry leaves, i.e., lemon (LL) and stevia (ST), as active and functional fillers for high-density polyethylene...

Stannates, titanates and tantalates modified with carbon and graphene quantum dots for enhancement of visible-light photocatalytic activity
PublicationMost efforts in heterogeneous photocatalysis are focused on development of new and stable photoactive materials efficient in degradation of various pollutants under visible-light irradiation. In this regard, the wide-bandgap perovskite semiconductors, i.e., SrTiO3 (titanate), SrSnO3 (stannate) and AgTaO3 (tantalate), were prepared by a solvothermal method, and then modified with carbon quantum dots (CQDs) or graphene quantum dots...

Conditions of Best Practice Transfer - Results of the Quick IGA Project
PublicationThe Quick IGA project supports the development of working and organizational structures in SMEs in order to increase the employment rate of women and elderly and concurrently increases innovation capacities. One of the main project’s tasks was to find best practices from SMEs in Nordic countries in that field (in the first step) and identify (in second step) possibilities and conditions of their implementation in SMEs in other...

IKE1-IKE3 (C-1305 derivatives) inhibitory effect of the Yeast Topoisomerase II relaxation activity
Open Research DataInhibition of Yeast Topoisomerase II were analyzed according to relaxation assay kit from Inspiralis. Briefly, 250 ng of supercoiled pBR322 DNA, 1 mM ATP, 1-200 μM of analyzed compound were mixed with reaction buffer (1 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.9), 10 mM KCl, 0.5 mM MgCl 2, 0.2 % (v/v) glycerol). The reaction was initiated by the addition of an enzyme, allowed...

Comparison of technology adoption models
PublicationThere are several technology adoption models, that try to explain, how and why the technologies are adopted and used. Among those, that are widely used to explain, how the older adults accept technologies, there are some general models and models specific to the group of older users. Among the general ones I would recommend paying attention to the following models: Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) proposed by Davis...

The antitumor derivative, C-1748, affects CYP3A4: crosstalk between drug metabolism, CYP3A4 expression and enzymatic activity
Z powodu tzw. ''wąskiego okna terapeutycznego'' występującego w przypadku terapii lekami przeciwnowotworowymi, małe zmiany...
