Abstract
One of the most demanding task for European countries is rational transportation system taking into account fuel efficient and ecological propulsion. The paper presents innovative design of hybrid powered inland vessel. The most important aspects regarding new design and technical solutions are being presented, including numerical and experimental research on hull form. Combined diesel-electric propulsion supported by solar panel energy is rational alternative for inland and coastal transportation in Europe. Innovative design of hybrid powered inland vessel can bring significant advantages in operation including increased efficiency and quiet, ecological propulsion.
