Biography

Karolina Makowska-Jarosik graduated from the High School in Nowy Dwór Gdański in 2009. She continued her education at the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Gdansk University of Technology (1st degree studies) and Faculty Of Mining Surveying And Environmental Engineering at the AGH University of Science and Technology (2nd degree studies). In 2015, she obtained the title of Master of Science in Geodesy and Cartography at the AGH University of Science and Technology (thesis title: "Measurement and stability analysis of the Czorsztyn-Niedzica dam control network monuments"). During her university education, she was a member of the Hevelius Scientific Club.

After graduation, in 2015, she started working in the Department of Geodesy at the Gdansk University of Technology as an assistant. In 2019, she commenced a doctoral degree conferral procedure.

She is a certified pilot of unmanned aerial vehicles.

Since 2016, she has been the Hevelius Science Club coordinator.

Her research interests mainly concern the deformation analysis of geodetic networks and structural health monitoring systems.
