Abstract
Abstract The article deals with case studies of selected architectural designs of the past fifteen years the authors of which intended to rethink both the typology and the means of constructing single family houses. The analysis covers contemporary design issues such as variation, curvilinearity, customization, digital manufacturing and ecological concerns. The purpose behind the research was to establish in what way new design and production methods may contribute in creating customized passive houses for middle class families in Poland.
