Partial Molar Volumes of Tetrabutylammonium Perchlorate and Tetraphenylborate in N,N-dimethyl-acetamide, Triethylphosphate and Dimethyl Sulfoxide

Abstract

The densities of tetrabutylammonium perchlorate and tetrabutylammonium tetraphenylborate solutions in N,N-dimethylacetamide, acetonitrile, triethylphosphate, and dimethyl sulphoxide have been measured over the whole electrolyte concentration range at 20, 25, and 30°C. From these densities apparent molar volumes and partial molar volumes of the salts at infinite dilution have been evaluated and used to determine the respective ionic contributions.
