The immune responses of sheep after DNA immunization with Toxoplasma gondii MAG1 antigen - with and without co-expression of ovine interleukin 6
PublicationW niniejszej pracy porównano odpowiedź immunologiczną owiec, którym podano domięśniowo plazmid DNA zawierający gen kodujący białko macierzy cyst tkankowych (MAG1) Toxoplasma gondii - pojedynczo bądź z DNA plazmidu kodującego owczą interleukinę 6 (IL-6). Dzięki wykorzystaniu plazmidu zawierającego gen mag1 odnotowano podwyższony poziom przeciwciał IgG1 oraz IgG2 w surowicach szczepionych zwierząt.

Application of recombinant antigens in serodiagnosis of swine toxoplasmosis and prevalence of Toxoplasma gondii infection among pigs in Poland

Evaluation of immune responses in sheep induced by DNA immunization with genes encoding GRA1, GRA4, GRA6 and GRA7 antigens of Toxoplasma gondii
PublicationW niniejszej pracy oszacowano odpowiedź immunologiczną owiec szczepionych domięśniowo szczepionkami DNA zawierającymi geny kodujące cztery antygeny granul o dużej gęstości (GAR1, GRA4, GRA6 oraz GRA7) Toxoplasma gondii. Wykazano, iż wykorzystanie DNA plazmidu pGRA7 indukuje znaczący poziom przeciwciał IgG-2 anty-GRA7 oraz IFN-gammma, podczas gdy iniekcja pGRA1, pGRA4 oraz pGRA6 stymuluje odpowiedź przeciwciał IgG1 z ograniczoną...

Modulation of immune response to Toxoplasma gondii in sheep by immunization with a DNA vaccine encoding ROP1 antigen as a fusion protein with ovine CD154
PublicationNiniejszy artykuł prezentuje porównanie skuteczności działania w immunizacji owiec dwóch antytoksoplazmozowych szczepionek DNA: kodującej białko ROP1 Toxoplasma gondii oraz kodującej w/w antygen i owczą cząsteczkę CD154 lokalizowaną na powierzchni aktywowanych komórek T. Otrzymane wyniki badań pokazały, iż domięśniowe podanie szczepionki DNA zawierającej gen kodujący ROP1 i CD154 znacząco wzmacnia odpowiedź immunologiczną szczepionych...

A new Toxoplasma gondii chimeric antigen containing fragments of SAG2, GRA1, and ROP1 proteins—impact of immunodominant sequences size on its diagnostic usefulness
PublicationThis study presents the first evaluation of new Toxoplasma gondii recombinant chimeric antigens containing three immunodominant regions of SAG2, GRA1, and one of two ROP1 fragments differing in length for the serodiagnosis of human toxoplasmosis. The recombinant chimeric antigens SAG2-GRA1-ROP1L (with large fragment of ROP1, 85-396 amino acid residues) and SAG2-GRA1-ROP1S (with a small fragment of ROP1, 85-250 amino acid residues)...

Potential diagnostic utility of recombinant Toxoplasma gondii proteins for detecting anti-Toxoplasma gondii IgG antibodies in horses serum samples
Open Research DataToxoplasmosis is caused by an intracellular protozoan, Toxoplasma gondii, and is a parasitic disease that occurs in all warm-blooded animals, including humans. Toxoplasmosis is one of the most common parasitic diseases of animals and results in reproductive losses. Diagnosis of toxoplasmosis is currently based on serological assays using native antigens...

The first study on the usefulness of recombinant tetravalent chimeric proteins containing fragments of SAG2, GRA1, ROP1 and AMA1 antigens in the detection of specific anti-Toxoplasma gondii antibodies in mouse and human sera
PublicationThis study presents an evaluation of four tetravalent recombinant chimeric proteins containing fragments of the Toxoplasma gondii antigens, SAG2, GRA1, ROP1 and AMA1, as potential replacements of a the soluble, whole-cell tachyzoite lysate (TLA) used in serological assays. Recombinant chimeric proteins (SAG2-GRA1-ROP1-AMA1N, AMA1N-SAG2-GRA1-ROP1, AMA1C-SAG2-GRA1-ROP1, and AMA1-SAG2-GRA1-ROP1) obtained by genetic engineering were...
