Reduction of the Multipath Propagation Effect in a Hydroacoustic Channel Using Filtration in Cepstrum
PublicationDuring data transmission in a hydroacoustic channel, one of the problems is the multipath propagation effect, which leads to a decrease in the transmission parameters and sometimes completely prevents it. Therefore, we have attempted to develop a method, which is based on a recorded hydroacoustic signal, that allows us to recreate the original (generated) signal by eliminating the multipath effect. In our method, we use cepstral...

DOBÓR PARAMETRÓW FILTRACJI W CEPSTRUM DLA POTRZEB POPRAWY JAKOŚCI ODBIERANEGO SYGNAŁU
PublicationW referacie zaproponowano metodę eliminacji wpływu efektu wielodrogowości poprzez analizę i filtrację odbieranego sygnału w cepstrum. Analiza taka, pozwala na wykrycie istnienia repliki (echa) sygnału nadawanego oraz odfiltrowanie tej repliki, co poprawia jakość realizowanej transmisji sygnału. W referacie zaprezentowano wyniki badan symulacyjnych.

Analysis of 2D Feature Spaces for Deep Learning-based Speech Recognition
Publicationconvolutional neural network (CNN) which is a class of deep, feed-forward artificial neural network. We decided to analyze audio signal feature maps, namely spectrograms, linear and Mel-scale cepstrograms, and chromagrams. The choice was made upon the fact that CNN performs well in 2D data-oriented processing contexts. Feature maps were employed in the Lithuanian word recognition task. The spectral analysis led to the highest word...

Investigations of speech signal parameters with regard to articulation influences
PublicationW pracy zostało podjęte zagadnienie parametryzacji sygnału mowy w kontekście ekstrakcji cech biometrycznych. Analizowane parametry to parametry cepstralne (cepstrum liniowe i mel-cepstrum, czyli MFCC), parametry liniowej predykcji (LPC) oraz momenty widmowe i parametr F0. Zastosowano analize w krótkich stałych segmentach sygnału z zastosowaniem dużego zakładkowania, tzw. ''implicite segmentation''. Umożliwiło to zaobserwowanie...

Comparative analysis of various transformation techniques for voiceless consonants modeling
PublicationIn this paper, a comparison of various transformation techniques, namely Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT), Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) and Discrete Walsh Hadamard Transform (DWHT) are performed in the context of their application to voiceless consonant modeling. Speech features based on these transformation techniques are extracted. These features are mean and derivative values of cepstrum coefficients, derived from each transformation....

Identity verification using complex representations of handwritten signature
PublicationThis paper is devoted to handwritten signature verification using the cross-correlation approach (adopted by the authors from telecommunications) and dynamic time warping. The following invariants of the handwritten signature: the net signature, the instantaneous complex frequency and the complex cepstrum are analyzed. The problem of setting the threshold for deciding whether the current signature is authentic or forged is discussed....

Automatic Breath Analysis System Using Convolutional Neural Networks
PublicationDiseases related to the human respiratory system have always been a burden for the entire society. The situation has become particularly difficult now after the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Even now, however, it is common for people to consult their doctor too late, after the disease has developed. To protect patients from severe disease, it is recommended that any symptoms disturbing the respiratory system be detected as...

Pierwsze z poruszanych zagadnień to blokowe algorytmy interpolacji. Wynikało to przede wszystkim...
