A Time Delay Controller Included Terminal Sliding Mode and Fuzzy Gain Tuning for Underwater Vehicle-Manipulator Systems
PublicationAn improved Time Delay Control (TDC) method for an Underwater Vehicle-Manipulator System (UVMS) is proposed. The proposed controller consists of three terms: a time-delay-estimation term that cancels nonlinearities of the UVMS dynamics, a Terminal Sliding Mode (TSM) term that provides a fast response and a PID term that reduces the tracking error. In addition the proposed controller uses fuzzy rules to adaptively tune the gains...

A Wideband Corrugated Ridged Horn Antenna with Enhanced Gain and Stable Phase Center for X- and Ku-Band Applications
PublicationIn this letter, a structure and design procedure of a novel double-flared conical horn antenna with an improved gain and a stable phase center is presented. The antenna incorporates a hybrid ridged and corrugated structure. A double-ridged section is responsible for ensuring a wideband operation, whereas the corrugated section supports the hybrid mode. The antenna impedance bandwidth (VSWR < 2) is 6 GHz to 20 GHz. Excellent performance...

Multi-objective design optimization of antennas for reflection, size, and gain variability using kriging surrogates and generalized domain segmentation
PublicationCost-efficient multi-objective design optimization of antennas is presented. The framework exploits auxiliary data-driven surrogates, a multi-objective evolutionary algorithm for initial Pareto front identification, response correction techniques for design refinement, as well as generalized domain segmentation. The purpose of this last mechanism is to reduce the volume of the design space region that needs to be sampled in order...

Wideband High-Gain Low-Profile Series-Fed Antenna Integrated with Optimized Metamaterials for 5G millimeter Wave Applications
PublicationThis paper presents a series-fed four-dipole antenna with a broad bandwidth, high gain, and compact size for 5G millimeter wave (mm-wave) applications. The single dipole antenna provides a maximum gain of 6.2 dBi within its operational bandwidth, which ranges from 25.2 to 32.8 GHz. The proposed approach to enhance both gain and bandwidth involves a series-fed antenna design. It comprises four dipoles with varying lengths, and a...

Chemical composition, antioxidant and anticancer effects of the seeds and leaves and indigo (polygonum tinctorium Ait.) Plant
PublicationSeeds and leaves of indigo (Polygonum tinctorium Ait.) plant were investigated and compared with another medicinal plant named prolipid for their properties such as chemical composition, antioxidant, and anticancer effects by Fourier transform infrared, three-dimensional fluorescence spectroscopy, and electrospray ionization-MS in negative mode. It was found that polyphenols, flavonoids, and flavanols were significantly higher...

XPS analysis of TBBO glass
Open Research DataGlasses and glass-ceramics with nominal composition 73 TeO2– 4BaO– 3Bi2O3–18SrF2-2RE2O3 (where RE = Eu, Dy) have been synthesized by conventional melt-quenching technique and subsequent heat treatment at 370 °C for 24 h in air atmosphere. Various Eu3+ to Dy3+ molar ratio have been applied to investigate luminescence properties in both glass and glass-ceramic...

Sensory analysis of confectionery products.
Open Research DataThe data set presents the results of the sensory analysis of confectionery products, which was carried out by the sensory profiling analysis method based on the PN-ISO 11035: 1999 standard – “Sensory analysis - Identification and selection of descriptors for determining the sensory profile using multivariate methods”. The method was used to evaluate...
