Opis

This is the histopathological image of LIVER AND INTRAHEPATIC BILE DUCTS tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

The detailed information about the patient, sample, and diagnosis are as follows:

Clinical description: Tumour of the liver left lobe

Gender: Male

Diagnosis:

Classification: ICD-10_10-20

Classification code: Chapter II - Neoplasms

Diagnosis: Liver cell carcinoma

Result of the histopathological examination: Tumor of the left lobe of the liver after chemotherapy with weaving a Hepatocellular Neoplasm-NOS. Within the tumor the presence of diffuse areas of necrotic-resorptive lesions, granulation, fibrosis and hyalinisation of the stroma, accompanied by minor calcifications. The tumor infiltration focally covers the liver fibrous capsule through its entire thickness, as well as crosses it and penetrates into the adipose tissue of the omentum fused with the surface of the organ.
