Opis

This is the histopathological image of CORPUS UTERI tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

The detailed information about the patient, sample, and diagnosis are as follows:

Clinical description: Erosio, HSIL in cytology, confirmed by biopsy

Gender: Female

Diagnosis: Malignant neoplasm of corpus uteri

Result of the histopathological examination: The endometrium partially exfoliated, atrophic with the presence of foci of atypical complex hyperplasia of the glands with areas of transformation into G2 endometrioid adenocarcinoma with features of focal squamous metaplasia. At the level of one of the corners of the uterine cavity, the tumor infiltrates the uterine wall not exceeding half of its thickness. Vascular embolism from cancer cells has not been reported.
