This is the histopathological image of COLON tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

The detailed information about the patient, sample, and diagnosis are as follows:

Patient:

Age: 60

Clinical description: Clinically: periodic abdominal pain and weight loss. Macroscopically: a cauliflower-shaped tumour concentrically constricting the lumen of the colon on the borderline between the ascending and transverse colon. Tumour dimensions: 8.3x4.2x3.8 cm, serosa in the tumour's view is pulled through it and it also seems that infiltrated colonic mucosa outside the tumour
