This is the histopathological image of OTHER AND ILL-DEFINED DIGESTIVE ORGANS tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Clinical description: Autopsy samples. Tuberculosis and pneumonia. Circulatory and respiratory failure.

Result of the histopathological examination: Numerous caseous granulomas with giant cells and focal caseous necrosis are present in the liver, on the surface of its capsule, in the mesenteric lymph node, in the intestinal adipose tissue, on the mucosa of the small and large intestine.
