PublicationPrzedstawiono sposób nakładania powłok hydroksyapatytowych na porowaty stop tytanu Ti13Nb13Zr za pomocą osadzania biomimetycznego poprzez zanurzenie materiału w przesyconym symulowanym płynie fizjologicznym. Powłoka hydroksyapatytowa została osadzona na nanorurkową warstwę tlenkową, otrzymaną w wyniku utleniania elektrochemicznego w roztworze zawierającym jony fluorkowe.

Effects of the preheating laser treatment on microstructure and corrosion resistance of Ti6Al4V bioalloy
PublicationThe laser remelting of the Ti6Al4V alloy was made on specimens pre-heated at elevated temperatures. Wpływ poliuretanów z syntetycznym polihydroksymaślanem na wzrost mikroorganizmów
PublicationW pracy przedstawiono wyniki badań oddziaływania nowych alifatycznych poliuretanów, otrzymanych z udziałem polihydroksymaślanu na wzrost Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli i Candida albicans wokół próbek poliuretanowych. Najbardziej wrażliwym na działanie materiału poliuretanowego w warunkach prowadzenia doświadczenia był szczep Staphylococcus aureus.

PublicationSilver was known for its antibacterial properties as long ago as in antiquity. The silver ions have ability to join the bacteria surface. Low density of silver ions Ag+ influence the protons through the bacteria surface, which results in total destruction of the cell. Optimalization of TiO2 nanotube geometry using fuzzy reasoning approach
PublicationThe geometry of TiO2 nanotube layer on titanium, obtained by electrochemical anodization, has been determined by using fuzzy reasoning approach. A proposed method showed the possibility of nanotube array architecture optimization by choosing an appropriate anodization condition. PublicationBadania opierają się na studium pojedynczego przypadku dwoch wkrętów ze stali austenitycznej, które były implantowane do organizmu człowieka jako element łączący złamaną kość piszczelową. Oba wkręty zostały zostały wkręcone w jednakowych warunkach, na okres 1 roku, po którym miały zostać wyjęte. Na skutek komplikacji życiowej nosiciela, wkręty te zostały usunięte dopiero podczas zabiegu po okresie 8 lat.

PublicationZastosowanie metody obróbki laserowej stopów Ti zwiekszyły twardość i odporność stopu na korozję. Jednakże uzyskane warstwy były stosunkowo cieńkie. W pracy zastosowano laser o dużej mocy dla stopu schłodzonego w ciekłym azocie, aby uzyskać grubszą warstwę, która w strefie zewnętrznej złożona będzie z tlenku i azotku tytanu, ważnych faz w biostopach.
