Opis

This is the histopathological image of HEMATOPOIETIC AND RETICULOENDOTHELIAL SYSTEMS tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

The detailed information about the patient, sample, and diagnosis are as follows:

Patient:

Age: 65

Clinical description: Patient with pancytopenia with increasing fatigue. As a result of the cytological smear of the bone marrow, signs of trilinear dysplasia were found

Diagnosis: Myelodysplastic syndrome, NOS

Result of the histopathological examination: Myelodysplastic syndrome with multilineage dysplasia (MDS-MDL) Marrow with cellularity of approx. 40% The topography of the main lines of hemopoiesis is slightly disturbed, the M: E ratio is 3: 2. Myeloid line MPO (+/-) / CD15 (+) with preserved segmental maturation (and with features of discrete dysgranulooesis). CD34 (+) / CD117 (+) blasts are diffuse and account for approx. 1% of the marrow cells CD71 (+) erythroid line in the form of poorly delimited islets with different cell composition, including some cells with uneven outline of the nuclei, some cells with megaloid regeneration features e-Cadherin (+) - features of dyserythropoiesis. CD61 (+) megakaryocytes slightly more numerous, with a slight irregularity in distribution. The dominant forms are small and medium ones with hypo- and hyperlobulation of the nucleis, single with micromegakaryocytes morphology. Bone trabeculae without significant pathological changes
