  • Structural optimization of microjet array cooling system

The single phase heat transfer from an upward facing, horizontal copper surface to arrays of impinging water jets was experimentally investigated. Experimental configuration allows for a free-surface unconfined jets flow. Square nozzles 50 × 100 μm arranged in four different geometries were used. Additionally, for the set of two jets array geometry was varied by adjusting the nozzle to nozzle distance. The area averaged heat transfer...

  • Selection Of Optimal Working Fluid For Use With Hybrid Microchannel-Microjet Heat Exchanger

    Publikacja

The paper presents the investigation to find best suited working fluid for a microjet- microchannel cooling module. In which microjets are impinging into the microchannels and forming a liquid film on the impingement surface. This technology takes benefits from two very attractive heat removal techniques. When laminar jets are impinging on the surface have a very high kinetic energy at the stagnation point, also in microchannels...

  • Model of heat transfer in the stagnation point of rapidly evaporating microjet

    Publikacja

The paper presents investigation into the single water microjet surface cooling producing evaporating film. Reported tests were conducted under steady state conditions. Experiments were conducted using the nozzle size of 70 and 100 mikrometer respectively. In the course of investigations obtained were experimental relations between heat flux and wall superheating. It was proved that the phenomenon is similar to that of pool boiling...

    Publikacja

    - Rok 2011

The paper presents investigation in the single water microjet surface cooling producing evaporating film. Reported tests were conducted under steady state conditions. It was proved that the phenomenon is similar to that of pool boiling. Results of experiments were compared with predictions by the model showing a good consistency.

  • Comparison of single microjet cooling with water, ethanol and HFE7100 as test fluids

    Publikacja

    - Rok 2013

The paper presents the investigation of a single microjet cooling forming an thin liquid film on the impingement surface of specially designed rig. The basis of microjet technology is to produce laminar jets, which when impinging the surface have a very high kinetic energy at the stagnation point. Applied technology of jet production can result with the size of jets ranging from 20 to 500μm in breadth and 20 to 100μm in width....
