Performance of DS-CDMA Radionavigation Receiver with Subsample Time Measurement Resolution in Various Environments
PublikacjaThis paper presents results of investigation of position estimation performance in TDOA radionavigation system with receiver containing code tracking loop with subsample time measurement resolution. Position estimation accuracy was evaluated using real signals from CDMA base stations, recorded during measurement campaigns in various environments: on sea, flat terrain and hilly terrain.

Improvement of time difference of arrival measurements resolution by using fractional delay filters in a direct sequence-code division multiple access radionavigation system
PublikacjaThis study presents a method of improving time measurements resolution in a direct sequence-code division multiple access receiver by using a fine code tracking loop based on fractional delay filtering of a despreading sequence. It briefly describes the structure of a generic digital code tracking loop and the proposed modification which allows to measure time difference of arrival values with the subsample resolution, together...

Comparative Analysis of Two Polish Hyperbolic Systems AEGIR and JEMIOLUSZKA
PublikacjaGlobal Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) is seen by terrorists or hostile countries as a high value target. Volpe Center report contains the following statement: “During the course of its development for military use and more recent extension to many civilian uses, vulnerabilities of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) – in the United States the Global Positioning System (GPS) – have become apparent. The vulnerabilities...

Low Cost Method for Location Service in the WCDMA System
PublikacjaA new and low cost method for a location service (LCS) in the Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) system is outlined. This method, which is called TDOA + RTT, enables calculation of the geographical position of a mobile station (MS) without knowledge of relative time differences (RTDs) between base stations (BSs). The TDOA+RTT method is based on the measurement of round trip times (RTTs) between the MS and the serving...
