Retention curves of selected solid materials

Description

This dataset contains measurement results required for plotting the pF curve, which shows the relationship between soil moisture and suction. Measurements were taken using the Eijkelkamp sand table and kaolin-sand table, as well as the Meter Hyprop 2. The sand table determines the pF range from 0 to 2.0, while the kaolin-sand table covers the range from 2.0 to 2.7. The Hyprop measures the water tension in two horizons of the soil sample during the evaporation process by means of two vertical tensiometers shafts. The change of the sample mass over time is determined by weighing. The median pF value of the sample is calculated based on the average value of the two tensions. The medial water content is calculated based on the mass change. This results in one measuring value per point in time for the pF curve.
