Efficient quadrature for fast oscillating integralof paraxial optics
PublicationThe study concerns the determination of quadrature for the integral solutionof the paraxial wave equation. The difficulty in computation of the integral isassociated with the rapid change of the integrand phase. The developed quadraturetakes into account the fast oscillating character of the integrand. The presentedmethod is an alternative to the commonly used methods based on the use of theFourier transform. The determination...

Metoda...

Analiza działania rozszerzonego obserwatora prędkości w szerokim zakresie zmian prędkości maszyny indukcyjnej
PublicationW artykule przedstawiono zagadnienia związane z odtwarzaniem zmiennych stanu maszyny indukcyjnej. Wykorzystano obserwator oparty na modelu matematycznym maszyny z dodatkowymi zmiennymi. Przedstawiono macierz stanu zlinearyzowanych równań błędu odtwarzania. Opisano sposób definiowania wyznacznika jakości na podstawie rozkładu biegunów obserwatora. Zaproponowano metodę korekcji wzmocnień wraz ze zmianą warunków pracy maszyny. Wykazano...

Zastosowanie odcinków nieliniowej krzywizny w torze zwrotnym rozjazdu kolejowego
PublicationW pracy została przedstawiona analityczna metoda kształtowania toru zwrotnego rozjazdu kolejowego posiadającego na swojej długości odcinki nieliniowej krzywizny. Odcinki te służą łagodzeniu wykresu krzywizny w skrajnych strefach rozjazdu W omawianej metodzie dokonano identyfikacji problemu rozkładu krzywizny za pomocą równań różniczkowych. Uzyskane rozwiązania mają charakter uniwersalny; m. in. pozwalają na przyjmowanie dowolnych...

Different types of solvability conditions for differential operators
PublicationSolvability conditions for linear differential equations are usually formulated in terms of orthogonality of the right-hand side to solutions of the homogeneous adjoint equation. However, if the corresponding operator does not satisfy the Fredholm property such solvability conditions may be not applicable. For this case, we obtain another type of solvability conditions, for ordinary differential equations on the real axis, and...

Novel structure and design of enhanced-bandwidth hybrid quadrature patch coupler
PublicationA novel structure and design optimization procedure of an enhanced-bandwidth hybrid quadrature patch coupler is proposed. Improved performance of the circuit has been obtained by parameterizing the coupler sections using splines, which introduces additional degrees of freedom. Due to computational complexity of the parameter adjustment problem, a sequential design procedure is applied. In each iteration, a selected number of spline...

On the Peano Theorem for Some Functional Differential Equations on Time Scale
PublicationThe Peano Theorem for some functional differential equations on time scale is proved. Assumptions are of Caratheodory type. Two counter examples for false Peano theorems in the literature are presented.

Galerkin formulations with Greville quadrature rules for isogeometric shell analysis: Higher order elements and locking
PublicationWe propose new Greville quadrature schemes that asymptotically require only four in-plane points for Reissner-Mindlin (RM) shell elements and nine in-plane points for Kirchhoff-Love (KL) shell elements in B-spline and NURBS-based isogeometric shell analysis, independent of the polynomial degree of the elements. For polynomial degrees 5 and 6, the approach delivers high accuracy, low computational cost, and alleviates membrane and...

Boundary problems for fractional differential equations
PublicationIn this paper, the existence of solutions of fractional differential equations with nonlinear boundary conditions is investigated. The monotone iterative method combined with lower and upper solutions is applied. Fractional differential inequalities are also discussed. Two examples are added to illustrate the results.

Systems of Nonlinear Fractional Differential Equations
PublicationUsing the iterative method, this paper investigates the existence of a unique solution to systems of nonlinear fractional differential equations, which involve the right-handed Riemann-Liouville fractional derivatives D(T)(q)x and D(T)(q)y. Systems of linear fractional differential equations are also discussed. Two examples are added to illustrate the results.

Restrained differential of a graph
PublicationGiven a graph $G=(V(G), E(G))$ and a vertex $v\in V(G)$, the {open neighbourhood} of $v$ is defined to be $N(v)=\{u\in V(G) :\, uv\in E(G)\}$. The {external neighbourhood} of a set $S\subseteq V(G)$ is defined as $S_e=\left(\cup_{v\in S}N(v)\right)\setminus S$, while the \emph{restrained external neighbourhood} of $S$ is defined as $S_r=\{v\in S_e : N(v)\cap S_e\neq \varnothing\}$. The restrained differential of a graph $G$ is...

Fractional differential equations with causal operators
PublicationWe study fractional differential equations with causal operators. The existence of solutions is obtained by applying the successive approximate method. Some applications are discussed including also the case when causal operator Q is a linear operator. Examples illustrate some results.
