Role of nitrogen in evolution of sp2/sp3 bonding and optical band gap in hydrogenated carbon nitride
PublicationDrastic changes in the bonding are found in amorphous hydrogenated carbon nitride (a-CNx:H) film as a function of nitrogen concentration (or N/C ratio). The total C-sp3 fraction and hardness shows a sharp decrease (at N/C = 0.40) whereas optical band gap and resistivity shows a gradual increase as nitrogen concentration increases from 0.07 to 0.58. Raman spectrum of a-CNx:H film is fitted with both Gaussian (integrated intensity...

Diamond-Phase (Sp3-C) Rich Boron-Doped Carbon Nanowalls (Sp2-C): A Physico-Chemical And Electrochemical Properties
PublicationThe growth of B-CNW with different boron doping levels controlled by the [B]/[C] ratio in plasma, and the influence of boron on the obtained material’s structure, surface morphology, electrical properties and electrochemical parameters, such as -ΔE and k°, were investigated. The fabricated boron-doped carbon nanowalls exhibit activity towards ferricyanide redox couple, reaching the peak separation value of only 85 mV. The flatband...

Tuning of food wastes bioavailability as feedstock for bio-conversion processes by acoustic cavitation and SPC, SPS, or H2O2 as external oxidants
PublicationThe growing amount of food wastes makes them a suitable source for the generation of bioproducts through anaerobic digestion. Appropriate hydrolysis of the feedstock can enhance the efficiency of production of desired products. In this work, acoustic cavitation (AC) was employed as a pretreatment method to enhance hydrolysis stage by the modification of model (potato-based) food waste for increase in soluble chemical oxygen demand...

Numerical modelling of moored floating structures using SPH. Preliminary results
PublicationThis article presents partial results of the works carried out under the research project "The development of the methodof modeling the dynamics of the floating (offshore) objects subjected to the environment influence", which aims at developing computational methods for modeling the dynamics of offshore structures. The article contains the description of the method of modeling the hydrodynamic impacts using SPH method and the description...

Smooth Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) approach in simulating large penetration into soil
PublicationA study of Smooth Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) approach for predicting large soil deformation is presented. Theoretical basics of SPH method, including the equations governing, discussion of the importance of smoothing function length, contact formulation, boundary treatment and finally utilization in hydrocodes simulations are presented. An application of SPH to a real case of large penetrations (crater creating) into soil caused...

Opracowanie dogodnej metody tworzenia wiązań S-C o hybrydyzacji atomu węgla sp oraz sp2
PublicationBadania przeprowadzone w Katedrze Chemii Organicznej Wydziału Chemicznego Politechniki Gdańskiej na przestrzeni ostatnich kilku lat, pokazały wszechstronność pochodnych kwasu neopentylidenofosforoditiowego. Dotychczasowe wyniki badań doprowadziły mnie do opracowania nowych strategii syntetycznych, umożliwiających otrzymywanie związków zawierających wiązanie C-S o hybrydyzacji atomu węgla sp oraz sp2. Analizując wyniki badań opracowałam...
