The data includes video traffic data registered with 8 video cameras at weaving area (weaving section type A) of the Sosnica interchange within A1 motorway in Poland (interchange of motorway A1 and regional road 902, located in the Silesian Agglomeration).The data covers the two days: 12.09.2017 (motorway A1) and 11.09.2017 (road 902).
The Motorway A1 (Amber Highway) in Poland. The total planned length is 565.1 km. North-south motorway, that runs through central Poland, from Gdańsk (on the Baltic Sea) through Łódź and the Upper Silesian Industry Area (to the west of Katowice) to the Polish-Czech border in Gorzyczki/Věřňovice, where it is connected with the Czech motorway D1. Except for its southernmost section, the motorway is a part of European route E75 (source: en.wikipedia.com).
The video cameras installed on the roads A1 and 902 (2 cameras) registered vehicles along the entire length of the weaving section. Cameras were mounted on 5-7 meter high masts.
Collected data include:
- Motorway A1 weaving, direction NS: 7:00 – 19:00, location: service road, min 604 veh/h, max 1209 veh /h, PHV: 15.9 - 31.4% (point no. 201).
- Motorway A1 weaving, direction SN: 8:00 – 19:00, location: service road, min 752 veh /h, max 1630 veh /h, PHV: 8.1 - 22.8% (point no. 202).
- Regional road 472 weaving, direction EW: 9:00 – 19:00, location: main road, min 585 veh /h, max 922 veh /h, PHV: 7.9 - 24.3% (point no. 203).
- Regional road 472 weaving, direction WE: 7:00 – 19:00, location: main road, min 702 veh /h, max 1422 veh /h, PHV: 5.5 - 13.8% (point no. 204).
This study is part of MOP-DZ research project: RID2B - Modern methods of calculating the road capacity and assessment of traffic conditions of roads outside municipal agglomerations, including expressway roads, financed by the National Centre for Research and Development (Poland) and the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways.
