  Po raz pierwszy ustalono sekwencję nukleotydową fragmentu genu gpd (dehydro-genazy aldehydu - 3 - fosfoglicerynowego) dla muchomora cytrynowego (Amanitacitrina), pozwoli to na ustalenie sekwencji starterów umożliwiających wykry-wanie grzybów tego gatunku za pomocą techniki PCR.
