The influence of anchoring group position in ruthenium dye molecule on performance of dye-sensitized solar cells
PublicationThe effect of anchoring group position and, in consequence, the orientation of the ruthenium dye molecule on titania surface on the performance of dye-sensitized solar cells has been studied intensively. Three model ruthenium sensitizing dyes bearing carboxylic anchoring group in ortho, meta or para position were synthesized and well characterized by spectroscopic, electrochemical, photophysical and photochemical measurements....

Numerical Analysis of Impact of Energy Buoy Anchoring Configurations on its Motion and Efficiency
PublicationThis paper presents a numerical analysis of the impact of energy buoy mooring configurations on its movement on the wave and effectiveness. The method used to analyse the buoy movement modelling in six degrees of freedom was described in a paper presented at the Conference 2011. Simulations of the buoy movement in regular wave and power calculations were conducted for several configurations of anchoring systems and position of...

Justyna Signerska-Rynkowska dr inż.
PeopleI am currently an assistant professor (adjunct) at Gdansk University of Technology (Department of Differential Equations and Mathematics Applications). My scientific interests include dynamical systems theory, chaos theory and their applications to modeling of biological phenomena, especially to neurosciences. In June 2013 I completed PhD in Mathematics at the Institute of Mathematics of Polish Academy of Sciences (IMPAN) (thesis...

Jarosław Chojnacki prof. dr hab. inż.
PeopleBorn in 1961 in Bydgoszcz, professional education started at the Chemical Technical Highschool (I. Łukasiewicz). He graduated from the Faculty of Chemistry at the Gdańsk University of Technology in 1986, defending the work on ion-selective electrodes. Subsequent studies were related to organic and siliconorganic synthesis and, from 2002 year on, to crystallography. The doctoral thesis concerned the Silanotiolanes of coinage metals...

The Selection of Anchoring System for Floating Houses by Means of AHP Method
PublicationThis paper indicates and analyses the use of anchoring systems, such as mooring piles, booms, mooring cables, and deadweight anchors with additional elastic connectors, which are the most frequently applied by the producers of floating houses. The selection of the most advantageous anchoring system is complicated and requires the application of quantitative and qualitative data and methods. This publication presents the results...

Synthesis and characterization of ruthenium and rhenium dyes with phosphonate anchoring groups
PublicationRe(L1)–Re(L3), a series of rhenium(I) tricarbonyl chloride complexes with bpy-R2 derivatives L1–L3 (bpy = 2,2′-bipyridine, R represents the substitution at the 4- and 4′-positions), and their corresponding trishomoleptic Ru(L1)3–Ru(L3)3 as well as heteroleptic ruthenium(II) complexes Ru(tbbpy)2(L1) and Ru(tbbpy)2(L2) have been synthesized and characterized. Their applicability as immobilizable metal–organic chromophores in solar...

The importance of anchoring ligands of binuclear sensitizers on electron transfer processes and photovoltaic action in dye-sensitized solar cells
PublicationThe relatively low photon-to-current conversion efficiency of dye-sensitized solar cells is their major drawback limiting widespread application. Light harvesting, followed by a series of electron transfer processes, is the critical step in photocurrent generation. An in-depth understanding and fine optimization of those processes are crucial to enhance cell performance. In this work, we synthesize two new bi-ruthenium sensitizers...

Unusual behavior of secondary amine group as a leaving group
PublicationIn our recent project we focused on reactivity of2,2-dimethyl-4,6-dioxane-1,3-dione carbamoilo- and thiocarbamoylo- derivatives as a ketenesource. Meldrum`s acid derivatives after thermal decomposition gives substituted keteneswith stoichiometric yield, that can be trapped with various spectrum of nucleophiles likealcohols, thiols, amine, imines etc. In case of5-[3-(dimethylamino)-sulfanyl-propyliden]-2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxane-4,6-dione...

Do poprawnego...

Analysis of Position Calculating Methods in Indoor Environment
PublicationIn the paper a modified gradient method has been proposed for position calculation on basis of distance measurement in indoor environment. It is shown that the well-known Chan method of position calculation is inefficient in indoor circumstances. Author presents Chan and modified gradient methods and achieved results for each one for real measurements.

A body position influence on ECG derived respiration
PublicationAn influence of a human body position on ECG derived respiration (EDR) signal is presented in the paper. Examinations were performed during deep, suspended and normal breathing for eight people in four different body positions. EDR and thoracic impedance signals were compared using correlation and standard deviation coefficients. Obtained results have shown that it is possible to monitor breath activity of people being in different...
