Production, Transformation and Determination of Volatile Fatty Acids in Farm Animals and the Environment
Abstract
The paper is a critical discussion of the production, transportation and determination of volatile fatty acids in rumens of ruminants. The odor nuisance of the emission of VFAs, often accompanied by volatile nitrogen- and sulfur-organic compounds from animal farming is also discussed.
