Obniżona skuteczność przemian związków azotu w okresie poza wegetacyjnym została potwierdzona przez niższe wartości stałych szybkości reakcji, które wynosiły 60% wartości osiąganych dla okresu wegetacyjnego.

Obliczenia wykonano przy pomocy mikropolarnego prawa hipoplastycznego rozszerzonego o efekt prędkości ścinania i miażdżenia ziaren w oparciu o teorię mechaniki zniszczenia.
