Sensorless control of five-phase induction machine supplied by the VSI with output filter
PublicationIn this paper, a novel sensorless control structure based on multi-scalar variables is proposed. The tatic feedback control law is obtained by using the multi-scalar variables transformation, where the multi-scalar variables approach allows a full linearization of the nonlinear system. The control system could be described as “optimized” because of the minimized number of controllers. Furthermore, control system is divided into...

Voltage Control of a Stand-Alone Multiphase Doubly Fed Induction Generator
PublicationThis article presents a multiphase doubly fed induction generator (MDFIG) with a dedicated and unique control algorithm in a stand-alone wind energy conversion system. The algorithm has been developed and elaborated in the case of different emergency modes. Compared with the traditional double-fed induction generator, the MDFIG has increased reliability, reduced current level per phase, and low rotor harmonic currents. The control...

Zaproponowane rozwiązanie umożliwi sterowanie temperaturą poszczególnych mostków H przekształtnika, w którym ten sam strumień powietrza wykorzystano do chłodzenia kilku mostków H. Zmiana liczby przełączanych tranzystorów nie wpływa na dokładność...

THREE-LEVEL F-TYPE INVERTER
PublicationGiven the recent available IGBT switch modules up to 6.5 kV, 1200 A rating, the prospect of the diode-free variant topology of the three-level neutral-point-clamped (3-level, T-type) inverter in certain medium voltage applications is bright; due to its small part count and low conduction losses compared to the diode-clamped NPC inverter. However, within this voltage range, the input dc voltage rating of 50% of the switches per...

Loss Minimization-Based Sensorless Control of High-Speed Induction Motor Considering Core Loss
PublicationThis paper presents loss-minimizing sensorless control (LMC) strategies utilized to optimize the energy of high-speed induction motor (HSIM) drives. A machine’s ability to operate effectively depends on the estimation of its electrical losses. Although copper losses account for the majority of electrical losses in electrical machines, core loss also contributes a major part, particularly in high-speed induction motors. A review...

Integrated Three-Level Dual-Phase Inverter
PublicationIn view of reducing the number of inverter legs that provide dual-phase, three-level output voltages (as may be needed in an uninterruptible power supply), and that also provide a wide range of output frequencies (as needed in an advanced motor drive system with wide speed ranges), a three-level, dual-phase inverter topology is presented in this paper. Its three-level attribute was based on the F-type inverter topological concept,...

A Comparative Study of Fuzzy SMC with Adaptive Fuzzy PID for Sensorless Speed Control of Six-Phase Induction Motor
PublicationMulti-phase motors have recently replaced three-phase induction motors in a variety of applications due to the numerous benefits they provide, and the absence of speed sensors promotes induction motors with variable speed drives. Sensorless speed control minimizes unnecessary speed encoder cost, reduces maintenance, and improves the motor drive’s reliability. The performance comparison of the fuzzy sliding mode controller (FSMC)...

Formowanie wektorów napięcia wyjściowego w pięciofazowych falownikach napięcia
PublicationW falownikach pięciofazowych, załączenie wektorów aktywnych powoduje jednoczesne formowane dwóch, zależnych od siebie wektorów napięcia wyjściowego. Sterowanie pięciofazowymi silnikami indukcyjnymi wymaga, aby wektory te miały ściśle określone długości i położenia. Niezależne formowanie dwóch wektorów napięcia o parametrach określonych w układzie sterowania silnikiem wymaga zastosowania odpowiedniej strategii Modulacji Szerokości...

Optimized Space Vector Modulation strategy for five phase voltage source inverter with third harmonic injection
PublicationThis paper presents a simple and an effective SVM algorithm for five-phase Voltage-Source Inverters with the possibility to control independently the voltage vectors for fundamental and auxiliary orthogonal subspaces. The essential benefit is that output voltage is generated using only four active voltage vectors with limited numbers of switching. In the proposed solution, four active vectors are arbitrary chosen, independent of...

Strategia wektorowej modulacji szerokości impulsów dla wielofazowych falowników napięcia
PublicationW artykule zaproponowano strategię wektorowej modulacji szerokości impulsów dla wielofazowych falowników napięcia. Zaproponowane rozwiązanie pozwala na niezależne formowanie napięć wyjściowych w n-fazowym falowniku dwupoziomowym z wykorzystaniem (n-1) wektorów aktywnych. Przedstawiony algorytm modulacji umożliwia dobór sekwencji wektorów aktywnych i pasywnych wymagającej minimalnej liczby przełączeń...

Sanctions and their role in preventing the appropriation of the creditor’s property rights in bankruptcy proceedings–the case of Poland
PublicationThe aim of this paper is to fill the cognitive gap regarding the role of sanc-tions in the protection of a creditor’s property rights in the event of an entrepreneur insolvency. The impact of sanctions on transaction costs, including their identifica-tion and types, as well as the impact on the protection of creditor rights, has been poorly recognized in the subject literature to date. This article investigates...

A Five-Leg Three-Level Dual-Output Inverter
PublicationClassical 3-level dual-output inverter, 3-L DOI, involves two similar 3-level inverters that provides a pair of 3-phase output voltages with same or different frequencies from common input voltage source. Flexibility of either operation of the constituting inverters is evident in this DOI; but total duplication of power switches is a major drawback. State of the art coupled 3-L DOIs reduce this drawback by providing series-shared...

Hybridized Space-Vector Pulsewidth Modulation for Multiphase Two-Level Voltage Source Inverter
PublicationIn space vector pulsewidth modulation (SVPWM) algorithms for multiphase two-level voltage source inverters (VSI), the components of active vectors in all orthogonal spaces have to be calculated within the processor and stored in its memory. These necessitate intensive computational efforts of the processor and large memory space. This article presents a hybridized SVPWM for multiphase two-level VSI. In this algorithm, elements...

Asymmetrical Modes in Polyphase Motors and Drives
PublicationThe effect of power supply and/or motor asymmetry on the phase-load distribution and the ripple of electromagnetic torque in a polyphase drive is studied by the method of symmetrical components. It is shown that the presence of asymmetry causes the mapping of all harmonics in the supply voltage into all planes of symmetrical components and eliminates the possibility of independent control of harmonics. The dynamic model of a five-phase...
