H2AX phosphorylation, its role in DNA damage response and cancer therapy
PublicationDouble-strand breaks (DSBs) are the most deleterious DNA lesions, which, if left unrepaired, may have severe consequences for cell survival, as they lead to chromosome aberrations, genomic instability, or cell death. Various physical, chemical, and biological factors are involved in DSB induction. Cells respond to DNA damage by activating the so-called DNA damage response (DDR), a complex molecular mechanism developed to detect...

RAGE as a Novel Biomarker for Prostate Cancer: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
PublicationThe receptor for advanced glycation end-products (RAGE) has been implicated in driving prostate cancer (PCa) growth, aggression, and metastasis through the fueling of chronic inflammation in the tumor microenvironment. This systematic review and meta-analysis summarizes and analyzes the current clinical and preclinical data to provide insight into the relationships among RAGE levels and PCa, cancer grade, and molecular effects....

Insights into oral microbiome and colorectal cancer – on the way of searching new perspectives
PublicationMicrobiome is a keystone polymicrobial community that coexist with human body in a beneficial relationship. These microorganisms enable the human body to maintain homeostasis and take part in mechanisms of defense against infection and in the absorption of nutrients. Even though microbiome is involved in physiologic processes that are beneficial to host health, it may also cause serious detrimental issues. Additionally, it has been...

Zdaniem Autorki usługa edukacji wyższej należy do grupy usług określanych mianem profesjonalnych, stąd też koncepcja...

Zastosowanie algorytmu ewolucyjnego do uczenia neuronowego regulatora napięcia generatora synchronicznego. Evolutionary algorithm for training a neural network of synchronous generator voltage controller

Studenci wobec pracy - porównanie opinii osób studiujących w Polsce i w Finlandii
PublicationW artykule podjęto próbę scharakteryzowania opinii i oczekiwań wobec pracy studentów polskich i fińskich. Materiał empiryczny pozyskano metodą sondażową, w oparciu o ankietę przeprowadzoną wśród studentów uczelni w Polsce i Finlandii.

From chemoresistance to cancer stem cells: the case of BRCP/ABCG2 half transporter
