Potential energy curves, transition and permanent dipole moments of KRb
PublicationWe present extensive calculations of 48 adiabatic potential energy curves of the KRb molecule. Efforts have been focused on preparing the appropriate basis sets. Compared to previous approaches, the set of new potential energy curves is extended to higher excitations, including the single-excited K(4s2S)+Rb(5d2D) and double-excited K(4p2P)+Rb(5p2P) atomic limits. Larger distances between nuclei are also taken into account. New...

Quasirelativistic potential energy curves and transition dipole moments of NaRb
PublicationWe report on extensive calculations of quasi-relativistic potential energy curves and, for the first time, transition dipole moments including spin-orbit and scalar-relativistic effects of the NaRb molecule. The calculated curves of the 0+, 0-, 1, 2 and 3 molecular states correlate for large internuclear separation with the fourteen lowest atomic energies up to the Na(3s ^2S_{1/2}) + Rb(7s ^2S_{1/2}) atomic limit. Several new features...

Then, we analyse the effects of procedural justice (study 2, N = 98) and communal organizational climate (study 3, N = 567) on women’s and men’s...

Self-employment of women: an opportunity or the last resort?
PublicationIt is believed that automatization and technological changes will be the main drivers of work in the future. At the same time, there is a growing discussion about new forms of employment, such as self-employment. It may be either perceived as a chance for empowerment, through creating new job opportunities, that were not reachable previously, or as precarious work, with less stability, higher risk, and uncertain income. The main...

Myths and facts about women aged 50+
PublicationThis study attempts to confront the three stereotypes attributed to women aged 50+ in Poland: the one related to women being interested in retiring as early as possible, the other related to the lack of educational activity and reluctance to acquire new knowledge and skills, and the third related to the image of a grandmother focused on looking after her grandchildren. The author’s aim is to present rational arguments in favour...
