Positive solutions to boundary value problems for impulsive second-order differential equations
PublicationIn this paper, we discuss four-point boundary value problems for impulsive second-order differential equations. We apply the Krasnoselskii's fixed point theorem to obtain sufficient conditions under which the impulsive second-order differential equations have positive solutions. Periodic points of latitudinal maps of the $m$-dimensional sphere
PublicationLet f be a smooth self-map of the m-dimensional sphere Sm. Under the assumption that f preserves latitudinal foliations with the fibres S1, we estimate from below the number of fixed points of the iterates of f. The paper generalizes the results obtained by Pugh and Shub and by Misiurewicz.

Multipoint Boundary Value Problems for ODEs. Part I
PublicationPraca dotyczy równań różniczkowych z wielopunktowymi liniowymi warunkami brzegowymi. Stosując metodę kwazilinearyzacji, pokazano że odpowiednio skonstruowane ciągi monotoniczne są zbieżne do jedynego rozwiązania omawianego problemu i jest to zbieżność kwadratowa. Otrzymano odpowiednie wyniki dla zagadnień, gdy współczynniki w warunkach brzegowych są wszystkie tego samego znaku.

Numerical-analytic methods for differential-algebraic systems
PublicationMetodę numeryczno-analityczną połączoną z metodą porównawczą zastosowano do układów równań różniczkowo-algebraicznych z linowymi warunkami brzegowymi otrzymując warunki dostateczne na istnienie rozwiązania. O prawych stronach zagadnienia zakładano warunek Lipschitza. Otrzymano oszacowania błędów. Problem z odchylonymi argumentami był również przedmiotem rozważań tej pracy.

PublicationLiczby dominowania wypukłego i słabo wypukłego są nowymi rodzajami liczb dominowania. W tym artykule pokazujemy, że problemy decyzyjne dominowania wypukłegi i słabo wypukłego są NP-zupełne w przypadku grafów dwudzielnych oraz split grafów. Posługując się zmodyfikowanym algorytmem Washalla możemy w czasie wielomianowym określić, czy dany podzbiór wierzchołków grafu jest spójny bądź słabo spójny.

Positive solutions to advanced fractional differential equations with nonlocal boundary conditions
PublicationWe study the existence of positive solutions for a class of higher order fractional differential equations with advanced arguments and boundary value problems involving Stieltjes integral conditions. The fixed point theorem due to Avery-Peterson is used to obtain sufficient conditions for the existence of multiple positive solutions.
