The Application of a Mobile Unmanned Device for Monitoring Water and Sediment Pollution in the Port of Gdynia
PublikacjaPollution in the Port of Gdynia can encompass various types of substances and contaminants that affect the quality of water and sediment in this region. Ships entering and leaving the port can release pollutants such as oil, fuel, waste, and chemicals into the water. Controlling and monitoring these pollutants is a crucial part of environmental stewardship. In recent years, uncrewed units have been increasingly in use for in situ...

ECONOMICAL AND SAFE METHOD OF GRANULAR MATERIAL STORAGE IN SILOS IN OFFSHORE PORT TERMINALS
PublikacjaThe article discusses issues related with storage of granular materials in silos made of corrugated sheets and reinforced with vertical ribs. Advantages and disadvantages of these structures are named, and typical technological solutions used by largest silo producers are presented. Moreover, basic assumptions of Eurocode 3 are discussed in the context of determining the buckling load capacity of a ribbed jacket. Alternative methods...

Wystawa MORZE \ MIASTO \ PORT - koncepcja merytoryczna i projekt aranżacji wystawy

Rekonstrukcja ewolucji układu przestrzennego średniowiecznego miasta i portu Szczecin Reconstruction of the Spatial Evolution of the Medieval City and Port of Szczecin
W wyniku analizy zmian układu przestrzennego miasta w omawianym...

Four-Port Circulator Using Reduced Ground Plane Ferrite Coupled Line Junction
PublikacjaIn this paper the investigations of four-port circula-tor using longitudinally magnetized ferrite coupled line section are presented. The device is designed by cascading ferrite section with magic-T junction ensuring its even and odd mode excitation. The scattering parameters of ferrite coupled line junction are calculated using own software and verified with the use of commercial software. The even and odd excitation of ferrite...

Implementation of spatial information for monitoring and analysis of the area around the port using laser scanning techniques
PublikacjaNowadays, maritime infrastructure is heavily exploited, which requires monitoring. The article presents the implementation of spatial information which are point clouds for monitoring and analysis of the area around the port (buildings and wharves). For this study, point clouds coming from terrestrial (TLS) and airborne laser scanning (ALS), each of them having different accuracy, were used. An important part of the analysis was...

Seasonal changes in organotin compounds in water and sediment samples from the semi-closed Port of Gdynia
PublikacjaThe effect of seasonal changes on the distribution of organotin compounds (OTC) in the sediments and seawaterfrom the docks of the Port of Gdynia was investigated. Sediment and seawater samples were collectedfrom four industrial docks in February (winter) and June (summer) in 2009. The samples were analyzed forbutyltin, phenyltin, octyltin, and tricyclohexyltin (total of 9 OTC derivatives). The fine fraction (b0.063 mm)accumulated...

An MOR Algorithm Based on the Immittance Zero and Pole Eigenvectors for Fast FEM Simulations of Two-Port Microwave Structures
PublikacjaThe aim of this article is to present a novel model-order reduction (MOR) algorithm for fast finite-element frequency-domain simulations of microwave two-port structures. The projection basis used to construct the reduced-order model (ROM) comprises two sets: singular vectors and regular vectors. The first set is composed of the eigenvectors associated with the poles of the finite-element method (FEM) state-space system, while...
