Intermetallic disordered magnet Gd2Pt1.1Ge2.9 and its relation to other AlB2 -type compounds
PublikacjaThe intermetallic germanide Gd 2 Pt 1.1 Ge 2.9 was synthesized using an arc-melting method. The crystal structure was characterized using powder x-ray diffraction, revealing a disordered ternary AlB 2 -type structure (space group P 6 / m m m , No. 191) with lattice parameters a = 4.2092 ( 1 ) Å and c = 4.0546 ( 2 ) Å . Physical properties were investigated by magnetic susceptibility and heat capacity measurements, which...

A model development and experimental verification for a vapour microturbine with a permanent magnet synchronous generator
PublikacjaVapour microturbines with permanent magnet synchronous generators are implemented in micropower plants for dispersed power generation systems. The dynamic model of such a microturbine set was developed and presented. The developed relations result from the generic equations. Experimental data for two different working medium were used for model verification. A microturbine set model was tested during the changes in the parameters...

Unravelling the role of electron–hole pair spin in exciton dissociation in squaraine-based organic solar cells by magneto-photocurrent measurements
PublikacjaA high absorption coefficient and narrow absorption bands in squaraine (SQ) dyes have resulted in rapidly growing interest in them as a donor material in photovoltaic devices. The exciton dissociation process in organic systems proceeds via a multistep mechanism where the electron–hole pairs (charge transfer states) involved in the current generation process determine the recombination losses and subsequently limit the overall...

Ferromagnetic nanocrystallites in the SiO2 - PbO - Fe2O3 glass system
PublikacjaThe structure of 50% SiO2 - 35% PbO - 15% Fe2O3, 50% SiO2 - 30% PbO - 20% Fe2O3 and 50% SiO2 - 25% PbO - 25% Fe2O3 (in mol%) glass was investigated by the means of AFM microscopy and X-ray diffraction. Observation by the atomic force microscopy shows that each of prepared iron oxide glass doesn't have homogeneous structure and some nanocrystallites were detected. Next, test with neodymium magnet found out strong magnetic properties...
