  Monoacylowe pochodne 1,4,7,10-tetraazacyklododekanu otrzymano w bezpośredniej reakcji cyklenu z chlorkiem kwasu salicylowego, jak również przy użyciu trichronionego cyklenu. Monoacylową pochodną wykorzystano następnie w reakcji z fosforynem etylu otrzymując difunkcyjny związek. Otrzymane ligandy zbadano spektrofotometrycznie. Obydwa ligandy oddziaływują selektywnie z jonami Co(II), tworząc kompleksy o stechiometrii 2:1 i 1:1 (ligand:metal).

Warstwy wykonane na przylgni grzybka zaworu wylotowego silnika diesla badano po dwóch latach eksploatacji w dwóch silnikach laboratoryjnych. Badania mikrostruktury nie wykazały znaczących zmian. Przeprowadzono również badania chemiczne oraz pomiary twardości warstw po eksploatacji. Badany typ napoin nie wykazał znaczących uszkodzeń po długim czasie eksploatacji.

  Zmierzono gęstości roztworów nadchloranów i chlorków manganu(II), kobaltu(II), niklu(II), miedzi(II) i cynku(II) w temperaturach 10, 20,25, 30, 40, 50 i 60(o)C. Obliczono pozorne objętości molowe. Wyznaczono graniczne wartości cząstkowych molowych objętości tych soli oraz odpowiednie rozszerzalności. Przeanalizowano i wyjaśniono różnice we właściwościach wolumetrycznych roztworów nadchloranów i chlorków.

  Using molecular dynamics simulations, we show that a molecule of moderately active antifreeze protein (type III AFP, QAE HPLC-12 isoform) is able to interact with ice in an indirect manner. This interaction occurs between the ice binding site (IBS) of the AFP III molecule and the surface of ice, and it is mediated by liquid water which separates these surfaces.
