coincidence investigation of inelastic electron-atom collisions with magnetic selection of scattering angle - feasibility study
PublikacjaOpisana została nowa aparatura do badania zderzeń elektronów z atomami metodą koincydencji z wykorzystaniem techniki lokalnego pola magnetycznego. Połączenie obu metod umożliwia wyznaczenie parametrów koincydencji w pełnym kącie rozproszenia. W pracy zaprezentowano pierwsze widma energii straconej oraz widma koincydencji.

Potential of nanocomposites of zero valent copper and magnetite with Eleocharis dulcis biochar for packed column and batch scale removal of Congo red dye
PublikacjaThe current study is the first attempt to prepare nanocomposites of Eleocharis dulcis biochar (EDB) with nano zero-valent Copper (nZVCu/EDB) and magnetite nanoparticles (MNPs/EDB) for batch and column scale sequestration of Congo Red dye (CR) from synthetic and natural water. The adsorbents were characterized with advanced analytical techniques. The impact of EDB, MNPs/EDB and nZVCu/EDB dosage (1–4 g/L), pH (4–10), initial concentration...

A taxonomy of challenges to resilient message dissemination in VANETs
PublikacjaInter-vehicular communications is seen as a promising solution to a number of issues related with public road safety, road congestion management, and infotainment. However, Vehicular Ad-hoc NETworks (VANETs) characterized by high mobility of vehicles and facing a number of other issues related with high frequency wireless communications and network disconnections, encounter major challenges related with reliability of message delivery....

Formation of carbon monoxide by radiative association: a quantum dynamical study
PublikacjaRate coefficients for the formation of carbon monoxide (CO) by radiative association of carbon and oxygen atoms are computed using quantum dynamical simulations. At temperatures above 10 K CO radiative association is dominated by C(3P) and O(3P) approaching on the A1Π potential energy curve. The rate coefficient is estimated as k=A(T/300 K)αexp−β/T with A= 1.39 × 10−18 cm3 s−1, α=−0.016 and β= 92.2 for temperatures between 6 and...

Isolation of the relative decrease in magnetic permeability contribution to reluctance of an open magnetic circuit based on stray field measurements
PublikacjaThe goal of the study was to evaluate a relative decrease in magnetic permeability in open magnetic circuits based on stray magnetic field measurements. The boundary element method was used to simulate magnetic circuits with variable geometry and variable magnetic permeability. The simulated magnetic circuits were rectangular or bone-shaped flat samples. Reluctance was increased in the middle of the samples resulting in leakage...

Investigation of Microbes in the Stratosphere – Stardust Project
PublikacjaThe stratospheric microbiota has been investigated many times using the methods of classical microbiology. In this research a few modern methods, including NGS sequencing and multiple displacement amplification of DNA, were in use. The analysis of metagenome helped to determine the content of various species of bacteria in the sample collected in the stratosphere by a hydrogen-filled balloon holding...

On proper (1,2)‐dominating sets in graphs
PublikacjaIn 2008, Hedetniemi et al. introduced the concept of (1,)-domination and obtained some interesting results for (1,2) -domination. Obviously every (1,1) -dominating set of a graph (known as 2-dominating set) is (1,2) -dominating; to distinguish these concepts, we define a proper (1,2) -dominating set of a graph as follows: a subset is a proper (1,2) -dominating set of a graph if is (1,2) -dominating and it is not a (1,1) -dominating...

Some variations of perfect graphs
PublikacjaWe consider (ψk−γk−1)-perfect graphs, i.e., graphs G for which ψk(H) =γk−1(H) for any induced subgraph H of G, where ψk and γk−1 are the k -path vertex cover number and the distance (k−1)-domination number, respectively. We study (ψk−γk−1)-perfect paths, cycles and complete graphs for k≥2. Moreover, we provide a complete characterisation of (ψ2−γ1)-perfect graphs describing the set of its forbidden induced subgraphs and providing...

Spatial distribution of pharmaceuticals in conventional wastewater treatment plant with Sludge Treatment Reed Beds technology
PublikacjaPharmaceutical residues are an emerging environmental problem. It is strongly confirmed that pharmaceuticals are present in soils and environmental waters (surface, marine and even groundwater), and that wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) effluents are the main source of pharmaceuticals in the watershed. The aim of this studywas to recognize the spatial distribution and seasonal changes of selected pharmaceuticals in conventional WWTP...

Coronas and Domination Subdivision Number of a Graph
PublikacjaIn this paper, for a graph G and a family of partitions P of vertex neighborhoods of G, we define the general corona G ◦P of G. Among several properties of this new operation, we focus on application general coronas to a new kind of characterization of trees with the domination subdivision number equal to 3.

The convex domination subdivision number of a graph
PublikacjaLet G = (V;E) be a simple graph. A set D\subset V is a dominating set of G if every vertex in V - D has at least one neighbor in D. The distance d_G(u, v) between two vertices u and v is the length of a shortest (u, v)-path in G. An (u, v)-path of length d_G(u; v) is called an (u, v)-geodesic. A set X\subset V is convex in G if vertices from all (a, b)-geodesics belong to X for any two vertices a, b \in X. A set X is a convex dominating...

Weakly convex domination subdivision number of a graph
PublikacjaA set X is weakly convex in G if for any two vertices a; b \in X there exists an ab–geodesic such that all of its vertices belong to X. A set X \subset V is a weakly convex dominating set if X is weakly convex and dominating. The weakly convex domination number \gamma_wcon(G) of a graph G equals the minimum cardinality of a weakly convex dominating set in G. The weakly convex domination subdivision number sd_wcon (G) is the minimum...

Chemical composition of tellurium oxides thin films deposited by magnetron sputtering method
Dane BadawczeThin films were prepared by radio frequency reactive magnetron sputtering technique. Metallic Te target was sputtered for about 45 min in argon-oxygen atmosphere what resulted in 300 nm film thickness deposition. The pressure in the chamber was below 0.2 Pa and substrate was heated at 200 °C. The distance between sputtered target and the Corning 1737...

Independent Domination Subdivision in Graphs
PublikacjaA set $S$ of vertices in a graph $G$ is a dominating set if every vertex not in $S$ is adjacent to a vertex in~$S$. If, in addition, $S$ is an independent set, then $S$ is an independent dominating set. The independent domination number $i(G)$ of $G$ is the minimum cardinality of an independent dominating set in $G$. The independent domination subdivision number $\sdi(G)$ is the minimum number of edges that must be subdivided (each...

The OVFSDT has many advantages compared to the conventional first-order shear deformation theory (FSDT) such as needless of shear correction factors, containing less number of unknowns than the existing...
