ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT OF SOLAR CELL MATERIALS
PublikacjaIn today’s world, fossil fuels, including coal, oil, and gas, are the primary energy sources from which electricity is obtained. As they are exhaustible and their exploitation has a negative impact on the natural environment, they should be, at least partially, replaced by renewable energy sources. One of these sources is solar energy. The use of solar energy releases no CO2, SO2, or NO2 gases, and does not contribute to global...

PublikacjaThis paper presents a wideband multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antenna with high gain and isolation, as well as beam tilting capability, for 5G millimeter wave (MMW) applications. A single bow-tie antenna fed by a substrate-integrated waveguide (SIW) is proposed to cover the 28 GHz band (26.5–29.5 GHz) with a maximum gain of 6.35 dB. To enhance the gain, H-shaped metamaterial (MM)-based components are incorporated into the...

PublikacjaPokazano wyniki badań emisji magnetoakustycznej (EMA) i efektu Barkhausena (HEB) dla dwóch płyt stalowych o różnych wymiarach. Wyniki te są porównane z wynikami modelowania zjawiska EMA z wykorzystaniem metody elementów skończonych z uwzględniem efektu prądów wirowych. Uzyskano zadawalające dopasowanie modelu, który odtwarzał poszerzenie maksimum EMA oraz przesunięcie fazowe i zmianę amplitudy HEB.

Shielded HMSIW-Based Self-Triplexing Antenna With High Isolation for WiFi/WLAN/ISM Band
PublikacjaThis article presents a novel design of a miniaturized self-triplexing antenna (STA) based on the shielded half-mode substrate integrated waveguide (S-HMSIW) for WiFi/WLAN/ISM-band applications. The S-HMSIW is constructed by assembling one row of vias and an open slot at the open-ended side of the conventional HMSIW. This configuration increases the quality factor and minimizes unwanted radiation loss, which allows for achieving...

Space-mapping-based design flow of miniaturized broadband matching transformer with perforated metallization
PublikacjaA fast design procedure of unconventional passive components has been presented and experimentally validated on the basis of a wideband microstrip four-section matching transformer (50:6 OHm). A classic impedance matching circuit has been miniaturized by means of compact microstrip resonant cells (CMRCs) leading to a considerable length reduction (34%) together with minor degradation in its performance. The spacemapping-based design...

Reply to Comment on ‘Nanodiamond incorporated human liver mimicking phantoms: prospective calibration medium of magnetic resonance imaging’
PublikacjaDependence of the spin–lattice (T1) relaxation times on the nanodiamond concentration in human liver phantoms is discussed. Factors affecting stability and and reproducibility of these phantoms are presented. The need for comparative measurements on multiple MRI scanners for better understanding of potential variations in the obtained imaging data is emphasised.

Signal Reconstruction from Sparse Measurements Using Compressive Sensing Technique
PublikacjaThe paper presents the possibility of applying a new class ofmathematical methods, known as Compressive Sensing (CS) for recovering thesignal from a small set of measured samples. CS allows the faithful recon-struction of the original signal back from fewer random measurements bymaking use of some non-linear reconstruction techniques. Since of all thesefeatures, CSfinds its applications especially in the areas where, sensing is...
