Nanoporous TiO2 electrode grown by laser ablation of titanium in air at atmospheric pressure and room temperature
PublicationRecently, fabrication of the nanoporous TiO2 photoelectrode on metal foils by means of sputtering of the Ti film on preheatedmetal substrate followed by the TiO2 deposition (doctor blade technique) and sintering represents the frequently applied technique. This is despite the relatively complicated procedure and number of parameters to be controlled in order to fabricate films of required properties. In this work an approach is...

Effect of high pressure of selected bacteria at subzero temperature

Dependence of harmonic generation on primary wave pressure distribution
PublicationPraca dotyczy numerycznego badania zagadnienia wytwarzania harmonicznych ciśnienia podczas rozchodzenia się fal o skończonej amplitudzie, promieniowanych przez źródła kołowe o różnych rozkładach. Model matematyczny zbudowano w oparciu o równanie KZK. Do numerycznego rozwiązania problemu zastosowano metodę bilansu harmonicznych i metodę różnic skończonych. Analizowano zmiany składowych harmonicznych ciśnienia w obrębie wiązki akustycznej....

Pressure distribution and beam pattern of the parametric acoustic arrays.
PublicationPrzedstawiono model matematyczny i wyniki badań teoretycznych zjawiska oddziaływań fal dla źródeł parametrycznych. Model matematyczny zbudowano w oparciu o równanie KZK. Do rozwiązania zagadnienia zastosowano metodę różnic skończonych. Badano zmiany ciśnienia fal wybranych częstotliwości w obrębie wiązki akustycznej oraz charakterystyki kierunkowe dla kołowych źródeł parametrycznych generujących fale różnych częstotliwości.

Analysis of correlation between heart rate and blood pressure
PublicationW artykule przedstawiono analizę korelacji pomiędzy częstością akcji serca (HR) i ciśnieniem krwi (BP). Wykorzystano rzeczywiste pomiary ciśnienia skurczowego i rozkurczowego krwi zmierzonego metodą inwazyjną w tętnicy promieniowej. Ze względu na możliwe zaszumienie sygnału przeanalizowano także dane po filtracji filttrem uśredniającycm oraz wykonano analizę trendów sygnałów. Wyniki analizy zarówno danych pomiarowych jak i filtrowanych...

Snow Cover Studies: a Review on the Intensity of Human Pressure
PublicationSnow cover should be treated as a highly dynamic medium. A variety of physical and chemical processes interact to alter its chemical composition and affect the metamorphism of its individual crystals and layers; this, in turn, has a direct influence on their mutual adhesion, and ultimately on the stability of the entire snow cover. The literature data here reported provide basic information on the forms of solid precipitation,...

Increased inspiratory resistance affects the dynamic relationship between blood pressure changes and subarachnoid space width oscillations
PublicationBackground and objective Respiration is known to affect cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) movement. We hypothesised that increased inspiratory resistance would affect the dynamic relationship between blood pressure (BP) changes and subarachnoid space width (SAS) oscillations. Methods Experiments were performed in a group of 20 healthy volunteers undergoing controlled intermittent Mueller Manoeuvres (the key characteristic of the procedure...

Opposite pressure impact on electron-phonon coupling in Eu2+ and Ce3+ doped AlN
Open Research DataThis data analyzes the influence of pressure on electron–lattice interactions in the 5d excited states of Ce3+ and Eu2+ in the AlN host based on pressure-dependent photoluminescence and photoluminescence excitation spectra. High-pressure measurements on AlN samples doped with Eu2+ and Ce3+ ions reveal that the Stokes shift increases with pressure for...

An energetic analysis of a gas turbine with regenerative heating using turbine extraction at intermediate pressure - Brayton cycle advanced according to Szewalski's idea
PublicationIn this paper, a modification of a simple gas turbine into the Brayton cycle with regenerative heating, using turbine extraction at intermediate pressure, is presented. The main concept of the retrofitting is based on the transfer of heat from the turbine exhaust gases to the air entering the combustion chamber. The extracted gas transfers heat to air via the divided regenerative heat exchanger and after that is compressed and...

Influence of temperature and nitrogen pressure on the test without active gases for high-temperature proton exchange membrane fuel cells
PublicationHigh-Temperature Proton-Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells (HT-PEMFCs) are a candidate for electrical energy supply devices in more and more applications. Most notably in the aeronautic industry. Before any use, an HT-PEMFC is preheated and after that supplied with its active gases. Only at this state, the diagnostics can be performed. A method of testing not requiring a complete start-up would be beneficial for many reasons. This article...
