Quality of limes juices based on the aroma and antioxidant properties
PublicationKaffir (Citrus hystrix) and Key (Citrus aurantifolia) limes juices were investigated and compared. Two dimensional gas chromatography coupled with time-of-flight mass spectrometry (GC×GC-TOF-MS) was applied to assess the botanical origin of Kaffir and Key limes juices, based on volatile substances. The biggest differences in the contents of selected terpenes in Kaffir and Key limes occur in chemical compounds such as Limonene,...

Blockchain based Secure Data Exchange between Cloud Networks and Smart Hand-held Devices for use in Smart Cities
PublicationIn relation to smart city planning and management, processing huge amounts of generated data and execution of non-lightweight cryptographic algorithms on resource constraint devices at disposal, is the primary focus of researchers today. To enable secure exchange of data between cloud networks and mobile devices, in particular smart hand held devices, this paper presents Blockchain based approach that disperses a public/free key...

AFM and SSRM investiagtion of carbon nanowalls properties
Open Research DataStructures with limited dimensionality are of great interest in modern nanotechnology. The properties of these objects are used, among others, for the construction of modern displays or as a base for quantum computers. Carbon nanowalls, which are the subject of the imaging results contained in this collection, are also considered interesting building...

Evaluation of the content of zinc compounds in polyethylene films using scanning electron microscopy
Open Research DataThe dataset contains the results of in the form of micrographs made using a scanning electron microscope (SEM) S–3400N (Hitachi, Hyogo, Japan) using backscattered electron (BSE) detector. SEM was equipped with tungsten filament. The accelerating voltage was 25 kV. Utilization of BSE detector allowed to increase the contrast of local areas varying in...

Research Platform for Monitoring, Control and Security of Critical Infrastructure Systems
PublicationSustainable operation of Critical Infrastructure Systems (CISs) is of a major concern to modern societies. Monitoring, control and security of such systems plays a key role in guaranteeing continuous, reliable and above all secure access to the resources provided by these systems. Development of adequate software and hardware structures, as well as algorithms to perform such functions cannot be done apart from the operational conditions...

Role of surface recombination in perovskite solar cells at the interface of HTL/CH3NH3PbI3
PublicationIn order to achieve the highest performance of organometal trihalide perovskite solar cells, it is required to recognize the dominant mechanisms which play a key role in a perovskite material. In the following studies, we have focused on the interfacial recombination between the hole transporting layer (HTL) and the perovskite CH3NH3PbI3 in solar cell devices with p–i–n architecture. It has been shown that Cu:NiOx : used as HTL...

3D MODELLING OF CYLINDRICAL-SHAPED OBJECTS FROM LIDAR DATA - AN ASSESSMENT BASED ON THEORETICAL MODELLING AND EXPERIMENTAL DATA
PublicationDespite the increasing availability of measured laser scanning data and their widespread use, there is still the problem of rapid and correct numerical interpretation of results. This is due to the large number of observations that carry similar information. Therefore, it is necessary to extract from the results only the essential features of the modelled objects. Usually, it is based on a process using filtration, followed by...

The influence of compensate coils on own ship magnetic field
PublicationA ferromagnetic object placed in the earth magnetic field causes a local disturbance in this field distribution. The field distribution disturbance is a function of many arguments like the dimensoins and shape of the object, its ferromagnetic properties ande its positon in relation to the earth magnetic field. in order to minimize the influence of this disturbance one places compensate coils on the ship. Some chosen results of...

A method to determine the tightening sequence for standing rigging of a mast
PublicationThe article proposes an alternative method to determine the sequence of generation of pre-tension forces in standing rigging of a mast. The proposed approach has been verified on both a virtual simulation experiment and laboratory tests. In this method, the desired tension values are obtained using the influence matrix which allows to calculate the effect of tension change in an individual rope on the tension distribution in the...

Structural changes in the polish economy- the analysis of input-output
Publicationthis paper analyses the structure of polish economy using three input-output tables for years 1995, 2000 and 2004. applying the traditional methods proposed by rasmussen the sector's backward and forward linkages are identified. industries with large backward and forward linkages are named "key sectors" and play an important role in the development strategy of a country, so the outcome of the paper may be used for the development...

Chromium Cluster Luminescence: Advancing Near‐Infrared Light‐Emitting Diode Design for Next‐Generation Broadband Compact Light Sources
Open Research DataIn modern technology devices, an energy-saving miniature near-infrared (NIR) light source plays a critical role in non-destructive, non-invasive sensing applications and further advancement of technology. This dataset reports the broadband NIR luminescence of Cr3+ clusters for designing phosphor-converted NIR light-emitting diodes as an alternative...

Variational principles for bound states of Schrödinger and Dirac equations allowing the use of discontinuous trial functions
PublicationWe present systematic constructions of variational principles for energies of bound states of the Schroedinger and Dirac equations. The principles allow the use of discontinuous trial functions. The method employed is based on a generalized Lagrange procedure. Relationships between our variational principles and those available in the literature are established.

Large-scale DFT calculations in implicit solvent-A case study on the T4 lysozyme L99A/M102Q protein
