Ocena stabilności termicznej kompozycji otrzymanych z nienasyconych poli(estrouretanów) sieciowanych styrenem
PublicationPoli(estrouretany uzyskano w reakcji nienasyconych oligo(alkilenoestro)dioli z 4,4`-diizocyjanianem difenylometanu. Oligomerole otrzymano w wyniku polikondensacji bezwodnika kwasu ftalowego, kwasu adypinowego z glikolem etylenowym i cis-2-buten-1,4-diolem.

The influence of esterification time on the physicochemical properties of poly (glycerol sebacate-co- butylene sebacate)
PublicationThe study presents the results of the physicochemical properties of ester elastomer based on sebacic acid, glycerol and 1,4 - butanediol. The process of obtaining elastomers at variable esterification times of 14, 16 and 21 h is described. It was found that the material with an esterification time of 21 h is characterized by the best mechanical properties while maintaining high content of the gel fraction. In the technological...

Effects of full displacement pile installation on the stress and deformation state of surrounding soil: review
PublicationSeveral field and model tests have been conducted to investigate the impact of pile installation on bearing capacity. However, little is known about how piles behave during installation, how they interact with the surrounding soil, and how this affects sandy soil properties. This review paper investigates the effect of pile driving on surrounding sandy soil as it compacts sandy soil near to the pile. For this purpose, various related...

The Role of Electrostatics in Enzymes: Do Biomolecular Force Fields Reflect Protein Electric Fields?
PublicationPreorganization of large, directionally oriented, electric fields inside protein active sites has been proposed as a crucial contributor to catalytic mechanism in many enzymes, and it may be efficiently investigated at the atomistic level with molecular dynamics simulations. Here, we evaluate the ability of the AMOEBA polarizable force field, as well as the additive Amber ff14SB and Charmm C36m models, to describe the electric...

Insights into Compatibilization of Poly(ε-caprolactone)-based Biocomposites with Diisocyanates as Modifiers of Cellulose Fillers
PublicationThis study aimed to analyze the impact of cellulose fillers’ modification with diisocyanates on the performance of composites based on the poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) matrix. Four most commonly used diisocyantes (isophorone, hexamethylene, toluene, and methylene diphenyl) were applied as modifiers of cellulose fillers (5 and 15 wt% per mass of filler). Modified fillers were introduced in the amount of 30 wt% into the PCL matrix....
