Termiczno-chemiczna piroliza do biopaliw ciekłych i gazowych, jako metoda podnoszenia sprawności konwersji energii biomasy
PublicationW pracy opisano i sklasyfikowano wybrane metody przetwarzania biomasy w biopaliwa ciekłe i gazowe.

OPTYMALIZACJA UDZIAŁU ELEKTROWNI JĄDROWYCH W KRAJOWEJ STRUKTURZE WYTWARZANIA ENERGII ELEKTRYCZNEJ W PERSPEKTYWIE DO 2060 ROKU
PublicationW niniejszym referacie przedstawiono wyniki analizy systemowej z wykorzystaniem modelu MARKAL.

Hybrid Monte-Carlo simulations of fluorescence anisotropy decayin three-component donor-mediator-acceptor systems in the presenceof energy transfer
PublicationW pracy przedstawiono nowy hybrydowy algorytm symulacji Monte-Carlo układu trójskładnikowego donor-mediator-akceptor. Działanie algorytmu zilustrowano na przykładzie zaników anizotropii emisji fluorescencji powyższego układu. Porównano wyniki hybrydowej symulacji Monte-Carlo z wynikami klasycznej metody ''step by step''. Stwierdzono bardzo dobrą zgodność wyników obu symulacji, przy czym algorytm hybrydowy wymaga znacznie krótszego...

Modern technologies in energy demand reducing of public transport — Practical applications
PublicationCity of Gdynia (Poland) exploits one of the most modern trolleybus network in Europe, which has been involved in many projects related to the reduction of energy consumption. Some of them are connected with the improving of energy breaking recovery usage. An experimental stationary storage system at Północna substation, which was tested in 2012-2014, is a bright example of a system which is connected with the improving of the...

Enhanced energy conversion as a result of fluid-solid interaction in micro- and nanoscale
PublicationIt is known that nano- and micromechanics require new approaches to right describing of surface-like phenomena which lead to an enhanced energy conversion. In this work, a general form of surface forces that consist of a contribution from both the friction and mobility components has been extended to collect the effects of bulk and surface motion of a fluid. Quite similar impact can be observed for a solid-fluid mixture, where...

Determination of Mechanical Energy Loss in Steady Flow by Means of Dissipation Power
PublicationWhen systems of simple geometry like pipes or regular channels are considered, the mechan- ical energy loss of the fluid flow can be expressed by local and longitudinal empirical energy loss coefficients. However, in the case of large spatially distributed objects, there are no simple approaches to this task. In practice, general recommendations addressing different types of objects are used, but they usually provide very coarse...

Low-energy positron collisions with water: elastic and rotationally inelastic scattering
PublicationDifferential, integral and momentum transfer cross sections for the vibrationally elastic and rotationally inelastic scattering of positrons from water at low collision energy (E ≤ 10 eV) are reported. Several models within the R-matrix method are used to compute the body-fixed T-matrices, while the scattering calculations are performed within the fixed-nuclei approximation corrected with the standard Born-closure formula. These...

Potential Application of Solar Energy Systems for Electrified Urban Transportation Systems
PublicationThe paper presents a novel approach toward the use of solar energy systems in public transportation. The concept of energy generation in PV systems for supplying a trolleybus transportation system is proposed for the city of Gdynia (Poland). The suggested way of energy production allows reducing the environmental harm impact of the municipal transportation system. Moreover, the proposed way of green energy use can be a more profitable...

AMCA to TAMRA long range resonance energy transfer on a flexible peptide
PublicationFörster resonance energy transfer between 7-amino-4-methyl-3-coumarinylacetic acid, (AMCA, donor) and 5- carboxytetramethylrhodamine, (TAMRA, acceptor) bound to Lys(AMCA)-Gly-Pro-Arg-Ser-Leu-Ser-Gly-Lys (TAMRA)-NH2 peptide is demonstrated by various spectroscopic techniques in glycerol at room temperature. In particular, nonexponential character of fluorescence intensity decay evidences the distance distribution between the donor...

RAPESEED PELLET - A BYPRODUCT OF BIODIESEL PRODUCTION - AS AN EXCELLENT RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCE
PublicationVegetable oils are renewable feedstock currently being used for production of biofuels from sustainable biomass resources. The existing technology for producing diesel fuel from plant oils, such as rapeseed, soybean, canola and palm oil are largely centered on transesterification of oils with methanol to produce fatty acid methyl esters (FAME) or biodiesel. Rapeseed pellet - crushed seed residue from oil extraction is a byproduct...
