Stwierdzono, że informacja zawarta w orientacji wektora pola elektrycznego wiązki światła wzbudzającego układ jest zachowana po zajściu procesu transferu energii pomiędzy molekułami w foliach rozciąganych. Natomiast w foliach nierozciąganych fluorescencja mediatora i akceptora jest bardzo silnie zdepolaryzowana.
