Detection and time/frequency analysis of electric fields in the ground
PublikacjaThis paper sets out to detect and characterize electric fields in the ground (such as stray current fields) using a tandem time/frequency method of signal analysis. Results were obtained from investigations performed in the presence of a generated electric field with controlled variable characteristics, and in the presence of an electric field generated by a tramline. The analysis of measurement registers was performed using Short‐Time...

The Role of Electrostatics in Enzymes: Do Biomolecular Force Fields Reflect Protein Electric Fields?
PublikacjaPreorganization of large, directionally oriented, electric fields inside protein active sites has been proposed as a crucial contributor to catalytic mechanism in many enzymes, and it may be efficiently investigated at the atomistic level with molecular dynamics simulations. Here, we evaluate the ability of the AMOEBA polarizable force field, as well as the additive Amber ff14SB and Charmm C36m models, to describe the electric...

Evaluation of electric fields influence on hydrotechnical constructions using STFT
PublikacjaZaprezentowano metodę detekcji pola elektrycznego z wykorzystaniem krótkoczasowej transformacji Fouriera (STFT). Ten rodzaj analizy umożliwia wyznaczenie zmian spektralnej gęstości mocy sygnału (np. potencjału konstrukcji) w funkcji czasu. Uzyskiwane spektrogramy są kompozycją prążków, określonych w dziedzinie czasu i częstotliwości. Dobra korelacja lokalizacji prążków na spektrogramie odpowiadającym generatorowi prądów błądzących...

Internal electric fields in vacuum-evaporated films as studied by electroabsorption spectroscopy
PublikacjaMierzono sygnały elektroabsorpcji na I-szej harmonicznej częstości przykładanego sinusoidalnego pola elektrycznego w komórkach sandwiczowych Al/warstwa organiczna/Al. Wyznaczono elektryczne pola wewnętrzne (Fi) dla materiałów stosowanych w organicznych diodach elektroluminescencyjnych (TPD, TAPC, MTDATA, QAC, Alq3, Ir(ppy)3, PtOEP). Mechanizm powstawania pól Fi powiązano z pułapkowaniem ładunku w obszarach przyelektrodowych.

Influence of electric, magnetic and electromagnetic fields on the circadian system – current stage of knowledge
PublikacjaOne of the side effects of each electrical device work is the electromagnetic field generated near its workplace. All organisms, including humans, are exposed daily to the influence of different types of this field, characterized by various physical parameters. Therefore, it is important to accurately determine the effects of an electromagnetic field on the physiological and pathological processes occurring in cells, tissues and...

Potential changes in an electric field and electrolytic corrosion.
PublikacjaSources have been described of corrosively hazardous electric fields and methods of determination of the corrosion hazard to metal structures caused by electrolytic corrosion. Results of potential and impedance investigations in the field of stray currents flowing out of a tram traction and in the presence of a defined electric field of low frequency have been presented. Uncertainties have been indicated relating to the generally...

Electric Field-Driven Assembly of Sulfonated Polystyrene Microspheres
PublikacjaA designed assembly of particles at liquid interfaces offers many advantages for development of materials, and can be performed by various means. Electric fields provide a flexible method for structuring particles on drops, utilizing electrohydrodynamic circulation flows, and dielectrophoretic and electrophoretic interactions. In addition to the properties of the applied electric field, the manipulation of particles often depends...

Energy efficiency of electric multiple units in suburban operation
PublikacjaThis thesis presents approach to analysis of energy efficiency of a suburban rail network, using novel models developed on the Matlab/Simulink basis. Necessary features and requirements for such models were determined thru in-depth review of the source literature in all applicable fields: electrified transportation systems, electric multiple units construction, vehicle drivetrains and finally, existing simulation methods. Existing...

Static magnetic multipole susceptibilities of the relativistic hydrogenlike atom in the ground state: Application of the Sturmian expansion of the generalized Dirac-Coulomb Green function
PublikacjaWe study far- and near-field magnetic and electric multipole moments induced in the ground state of the Dirac one-electron atom placed in a weak 2L-pole magnetostatic field. The analysis is carried out within the framework of the first-order Rayleigh-Schrödinger perturbation theory, with the use of the Sturmian expansion of the generalized Dirac-Coulomb Green function [Szmytkowski, J. Phys. B 30, 825 (1997);J. Phys. B 30, 2747(E)...

Magnetic Field Generated by Short Circuit Current in the 110 kV Power System
PublikacjaElectric fields within tissues induced by magnetic fields including transients or short-term peaks should not be time averaged and be regarded as instantaneous values as established in the ICNIRP (International Commission on Non - Ionizing Radiation Protection) guidelines. Measurements of power lines magnetic fields with regard to human beings exposure are carried out typically with maximum current load at current balance condition...

Stark effect of atomic helium singlet lines
PublikacjaWe present experimental and theoretical investigations of the He spectral series 2S1−nQ1 (n=3÷9, Q=S,P,D,…,n−1) and 2P1−nQ1 (n=3÷9, Q=S,P,D,…,n−1) in electric fields up to 1635 kV/cm. Apart from the allowed transitions with |ΔL|=1, the transitions with |ΔL|=0,2,3,…-without field strictly forbidden-were observed. Several He patterns become similar to hydrogen patterns, which means they are nearly symmetric and show in higher fields...

The influence of electromagnetic pollution on living organisms – historical trends and forecasting changes
PublikacjaCurrent technologies have become a source of omnipresent electromagnetic pollution from generated electromagnetic fields and resulting electromagnetic radiation. In many cases this pollution is much stronger than any natural sources of electromagnetic fields or radiation. Wireless and radio communication, electric power transmission or devices in daily use such as smartphones, tablets and portable computers every day expose people...

Electromodulation of monomer and excimer phosphorescence in vacuum-evaporated films of platinum (II) complexes of 1,3-di(2-pyridyl)benzenes
PublikacjaElectric field-modulated photoluminescence (EML) measurements are presented for vacuum-evaporated films of cyclometallated Pt (II) complexes of 1,3-di(2-pyridyl) benzenes used as triplet emitters in organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). The excimer phosphorescence is quenched by the external electric field of 2.5 MV/cm up to 25% but the same effect on monomer phosphorescence is one order of magnitude smaller. The higher quenching...

The obtained results shows that a large nonlinearity in the impedance signal is observed at moderate electric fields of an order 1V/mm. The contents of the third harmonics reaches about 10% and strongly depends on temperature and frequency. The investigated glass exhibits mixed electronic-ionic conductivity. Electronic conduction...

Generalized Einstein relation in disordered organic semiconductors: Influence of the acoustic phonons–charge carriers scattering
PublikacjaIn this work, we analyze the generalized Einstein relation for disordered organic semiconductors with a non-equilibrium Druyvesteyn-type distribution function. The Druyvesteyn behavior of hot electrons in a solid state is associated with the acoustic phonons–charge carriers scattering. Such a case has been experimentally demonstrated in electroluminescent inorganic rare–earth–doped zinc chalcogenides. Therefore, we can assume that,...
