Speed Observer Structure of Induction Machine Based on Sliding Super-Twisting and Backstepping Techniques
PublikacjaThis paper presents an analysis of the two speed observer structures which are based on the backstepping and sliding super twisting approach. The observer stabilizing functions result from the Lyapunov theorem. To obtain the observer tuning gains the observer structure is linearized near the equilibrium point. The rotor angular speed is obtained from non-adaptive dependence. In the sensorless control system structure the classical...

Non-Adaptive Rotor Speed Estimation of Induction Machine in an Adaptive Full-Order Observer
PublikacjaIn the sensorless control system of an induction machine, the rotor speed value is not measured but reconstructed by an observer structure. The rotor speed value can be reconstructed by the classical adaptive law with the integrator. The second approach, which is the main contribution of this paper, is the non-adaptive structure without an integrator. The proposed method of the rotor speed reconstruction is based on an algebraic...

PublikacjaThe paper focuses on sensorless control of the induction machines supplied by inverter with the output filters. “The novel” idea of the speed observer which is based on the backstepping approach is shown. The standard structure of the exponential observer is extended by the integrators and additional Z vector. The simulation and experimental results validate the proposed solution.

Speed observer of induction machine based on backstepping and sliding mode for low‐speed operation
PublikacjaThis paper presents a speed observer design based on backstepping and slidingmode approaches. The inputs to the observer are the stator current and thevoltage vector components. This observer structure is extended to the integra-tors. The observer stabilizing functions contain the appropriate sliding surfaceswhich result from the Lyapunov function. The rotor angular speed is obtainedfrom the non‐adaptive formula with a sliding...

Rotor-Flux Vector based Observer of Interior Permanent Synchronous Machine
PublikacjaThe sensorless control system of the interior permanent magnet machine is considered in this paper. The control system is based on classical linear controllers. In the machine, there occurs non-sinusoidal distribution of rotor flux together with the slot harmonics, which are treated as the control system disturbances. In this case, the classical observer structure in the (d-q) is unstable for the low range of rotor speed resulting...

Robust Monitoring of Water Quality in Drinking Water Distribution System
PublikacjaThe paper develops a novel open loop set bounded observer for robust estimation of water quality in DWDS based on the advanced nonlinear quality dynamics model including disinfections by-products (DBPs). The observer utilises a cooperativeness of the quality dynamics model and is computationally efficient, hence applicable to on-line quality monitoring. The simulation results illustrate its good and sustainable performance.

Sensorless Control of Polyphase Induction Machines
PublikacjaThe basics of transformations of polyphase systems into orthogonal systems are explained. Vector models of induction machines in orthogonal planes are analysed and multiscalar models for rotor flux and main flux together with stator current are presented. A speed observer based on an extended model of the induction machine for selected variables is applied in the control system for the induction machine. On the basis of the model...

Sensorless Disturbance Detection for Five Phase Induction Motor with Third Harmonic Injection
PublikacjaThe paper presents a sensorless disturbance detection procedure that was done on a five phase induction motor with third harmonic injection. A test bench was developed where a three phase machine serves as disturbance generator of different frequencies. The control of the machines is based on multi scalar variables that ensures an independent control of the motor EMF and the rotor flux. For disturbance identification a speed observer...

Speed sensorless ac drive with inverter output filter and fault detection using load torque signal
PublikacjaIn this paper, a sensorless induction motor (IM) drive using speed observer system is presented. The system includes load torque computation for gear fault detection. Nonlinear control method is adopted for controlling the motor over a wide speed range. An LC filter for smoothing current and voltage waveforms is used at the output of the voltage inverter. The use of filter imposes more building of the used observer to avoid using...

Five-phase induction motor drive with sine-wave filter
PublikacjaThe paper presents closed loop ac drive with 5 phase induction motor operating with voltage source inverter and sine wave filter. The motor supply voltages and currents have sinusoidal shape. For well known adjustable electric drives the field oriented control method with flux and speed co ntrol can be applied. In the presence of output filter both control and estimation algorithms should be modified due to sine wave filter installation....

Speed sensorless asynchronous motor drive with inverter output lc filter
PublikacjaIn this paper a speed sensorless ac drive with inverter and output LC filter is proposed. A nonlinear, decoupled field oriented control algorithm with a flux and speed close-loop observer is used. In spite of using LC filter on the inverter output, the sensorless system works precisely. That result are obtained as a result of the appropriate estimation and control system use. The theory, simulation, and experimental results are...

PublikacjaThe paper presents issues related to calculation of gains of non-proportional observers of magnetic fluxes of an induction motor. A transformation is discussed, based on dyadic matrices, that affords possibility of applying well-known methods used in single-output systems to observers of multi-output systems. The impact of dyadic transformation on possibility of poles placement of the observer is analyzed....

Intrinsic asymmetry with respect to adversary: a new feature of Bell inequalities
PublikacjaIt is known that the local bound of a Bell inequality is sensitive to the knowledge of the external observer about the settings statistics. Here we ask how that sensitivity depends on the structure of that knowledge. It turns out that in some cases it may happen that the local bound is much more sensitive to the adversaryʼs knowledge about the settings of one party than the other. Remarkably, there are Bell inequalities which are...
