Inverse method for axisymmetric and blade-to-blade viscous flow models in cylindrical coordinates using stream-function transformation
PublicationZaproponowano nową metodę odwrotną rozwiązywania dwuwymiarowych zagadnień projektowych we współrzędnych cylindrycznych. Użyto współrzędnych funkcji prądu uzależniając kształt opływanej geometrii od kształtu linii prądu. Metodę zwalidowano. Pokazano zastosowanie do przepływów osiowosymetrycznych jak i na powierzchniach cylindrycnych.

Improved-Efficacy EM-Driven Optimization of Antenna Structures Using Adaptive Design Specifications and Variable-Resolution Models
PublicationOptimization-driven parameter tuning is an essential step in the design of antenna systems. Although in many cases it is still conducted through parametric studies, rigorous numerical methods become a necessity if truly optimum designs are sought for, and the problem intricacies (number of variables, multiple goals, constraints) make the interactive approaches insufficient. The two practical considerations of electromagnetic (EM)-driven...

Variable-Fidelity Simulation Models and Sparse Gradient Updates for Cost-Efficient Optimization of Compact Antenna Input Characteristics
PublicationDesign of antennas for the Internet of Things (IoT) applications requires taking into account several performance figures, both electrical (e.g., impedance matching) and field (gain, radiation pattern), but also physical constraints, primarily concerning size limitation. Fulfillment of stringent specifications necessitates the development of topologically complex structures described by a large number of geometry parameters that...

Harmonic Vibrations of Nanosized Magnetoelectric Bodies with Coupled Surface and Interphase Effects: Mathematical Models and Finite Element Approaches
PublicationThe harmonic problems for piezomagnetoelectric nanosized bodies with taking into account the coupled damping and surface effects are considered on the base of the generalized Gurtin-Murdoch model. In the development of previous investigations, the coupled mechanical, electric and magnetic surface effects with surface inertial terms are introduced into the model. For a homogeneous model, the composite material is considered as homogeneous...

Determination of buckling strength of silos composed of corrugated walls and thin-walled-columns using simplified wall segment models
PublicationW artykule przedstawiono wyniki obszernych analiz numerycznych wyboczenia i stateczności metalowych silosów z blachy falistej wzmocnionych cienkościennymi słupami. Wykonano analizy liniowe i nieliniowe. Do obliczeń zaproponowano proste modele segmentów ścian zamiast skomplikowanych modeli całych silosów. Otrzymano bardzo dobrą zgodność wyników numerycznych. Wyniki obliczeń numerycznych porównano dodatkowo z wynikami normowymi.

Comparative analysis of the theoretical models of ideal propulsor, ideal fluid brake, ideal screw propeller and ideal axial wind turbine
PublicationThe article presents a detailed discussion of four different fluid dynamics devices. These devices are presented with all relevant mathematical formulae regarding the forces, the power and the efficiency. It is demonstrated that application of the Betz theorem to axial wind turbines is not correct and it underestimates the maximujm achievable efficiency. This conclusion is supported by numerical calculations.

Top 10 Iran Import Goods in 2011
Open Research DataThe following dataset shows the volume of trade of the European Union countries with Iran. One can observe a significant drop in both imports and exports (the year 2012 meant tightening of sanctions, which clearly limited the import of Iranian products to the EU). After lifting the sanctions it is expected to substantially increase the level of trade...

Markthal Rotterdam as a contemporary continuation of nineteenth-entury market-halls' architectural ideas in Europe, 3rd International Multidisciplinary Scientific Conference, Social Sciences and Arts, Conference proceedings, book 4, Arts, Performing Arts, Architecture and design, Volume II, Vienna, Austria; pp. 391-398
PublicationIn the nineteenth century the reorganization of the European city local trading model resulted in the network of a series of newly constructed covered market halls. The large-format objects superseded the trade forms of previous streets and squares. In the second half of the twentieth century the panoply of the public trade markets was dominated by food super- and hypermarkets. It seemed that the era of old-time market halls,...
