Spectral criterion for high-cycle fatigue of engine parts under asymmetricrandom load
PublikacjaPrzedstawiono kryterium ograniczonej trwałości zmęczeniowej wysokocyklowej części silników poddanych stacjonarnemu obciążeniu stochastycznemu o niezerowej wartości średniej. Wyznaczono naprężenie równoważne w postaci procesu okresowego w sensie średnio kwadratowym i zastosowano równanie Goodmana/So-derberga. Ukazano wpływ rozciągającego naprężenia resztowego na wartość oczekiwaną czasu do chwili uszkodzenia zmęczeniowego.

Spectral criterion for high-cycle fatigue of metals under multiaxial random loading

Spectral criterion for high-cycle fatigue of metals under multiaxial static and stochastic loading.

Spectral criterion for high-cycle fatigue of anisotropic metals under multiaxial random loads
PublikacjaPraca dotyczy oceny ograniczonej trwałości zmęczeniowej metali ciągliwych, poddanych wieloosiowym obciążeniom statycznym i dynamicznym.

High-cycle fatique criterion for anisotropic metals under multiaxial constant and periodic loads
Zdefiniowano naprężenie równoważne o synchronicznych składowych i sformułowano kryterium ograniczonej trwałości zmęczeniowej. Kryterium to obejmuje warunki wytrzymałości statycznej i bezpieczeństwa zmęczeniowego z zakresie wysokocyklowym...

Influence of Heat Treatment Temperature on Fatigue Toughness in Medium-Carbon High-Strength Steels
PublikacjaCurrent research has demonstrated that the tempering temperature affects the martensitic transformation of medium-carbon high-strength steels. This temperature plays an important role in the final microstructure, percentage ratios of martensite to ferrite phases and, consequently, in the mechanical properties and the fatigue response. So far, the relationship between the martensitic tempering temperature and the cyclic deformation...

Application a laboratory stand for multi-symptoms tests for high cyclic fatigue of constructional material
PublikacjaThis paper describes a need of diagnostics present ship plants according to current technical state. In order to reach competent physical quantity describing fatigue of materials by congregated energy. This paper describes using some diagnostics methods (acoustic emission AE, vibration, thermovision, deformation) in order to definition fatigue state of construction material. The author tries to find correlation between measured...

Thermodynamic Cycle Concepts for High-Efficiency Power Plans. Part A: Public Power Plants 60+
PublikacjaAn analysis was carried out for different thermodynamic cycles of power plants with air turbines. Variants with regeneration and different cogeneration systems were considered. In the paper, we propose a new modification of a gas turbine cycle with the combustion chamber at the turbine outlet. A special air by-pass system of the combustor was applied and, in this way, the efficiency of the turbine cycle was increased by a few points....

On the use of the cumulative strain energy density for fatigue life assessment in advanced high-strength steels
PublikacjaIn this paper, the applicability of the cumulative strain energy density is explored as a fatigue indicator parameter for advanced high-strength steels subjected to strain-controlled conditions. Firstly, the cyclic stress-strain responses of nine steels, selected from three multiphase families, encompassing different elemental compositions and different heat treatment routes, were studied. Then, the predictive capabilities of the...

Orientation effects on the fracture behaviour of additively manufactured stainless steel 316L subjected to high cyclic fatigue
PublikacjaIn this paper, stainless steel 316L (SS316L) bars were additively manufactured (AM) in three orientations (Z – vertical, XY – horizontal, ZX45 – midway between vertical and horizontal) by using the Laser Powder Bed Fusion Melting (LPBF-M) method. The AM specimens were subjected to load control fatigue testing under full tension and compression (R = -1) at stress amplitudes ±350, ±400 and ±450 MPa. The XY and ZX45 printing orientations...

Fracture Surface Behavior of 34CrNiMo6 High-Strength Steel Bars with Blind Holes under Bending-Torsion Fatigue
PublikacjaThe present study evaluates the fracture surface response of fatigued 34CrNiMo6 steel bars with transverse blind holes subjected to bending with torsion loading. The analysis of the geometric product specification was performed by means of height parameters Sx, functional volume parameters Vx, and fractal dimension Df. Surface topography measurements were carried out using an optical profilometer with focus variation technology....

The correlation of fractal dimension to fracture surface slope for fatigue crack initiation analysis under bending-torsion loading in high-strength steels
PublikacjaIn this study, the fractal dimension of fatigue fracture surfaces is investigated in order to find an alternative failure loading indicator. Some of many metrological factors are generalized by reducing the fracture surface structure to one factor and develop an entire fracture surface procedure by analyzing the impact of surface slope and calculation resolution. Three notched geometries are studied under cyclic bending-torsion:...

Fracture Surface Topography Parameters for S235JR Steel Adhesive Joints After Fatigue Shear Testing
PublikacjaThis paper presents the experimental results of a study investigating the effect of holes and notches made on the overlap ends on the strength of adhesive joints. Single-lap joints made of S235JR steel sheets bonded with Araldite 2024-2 epoxy adhesive were tested. For comparative reasons, static shear strength tests and high-cycle fatigue strength tests were performed. Adhesive-filled joints having three holes, each with a diameter...
