The effect of nonlinear restraint on torsional buckling and post-buckling behaviour of a thin-walled column
W przykładzie numerycznym wyznaczono siłę krytyczną i ścieżkę początkowego zachowania pokrytycznego dwuteowego pręta z podporą sprężystą o charakterystyce składającej...

Effect of grain crushing on shear localization in granular bodies within micro-polar hypoplasticity
PublikacjaW artykule przedstawiono efekt miażdżenia ziaren na zachowanie się materiału granulowanego podczas ścinania nieskończenie długiej warstwy piasku. Obliczenia wykonano przy pomocy mikropolarnego prawa hipoplastycznego rozszerzonego o efekt miażdżenia ziaren w oparciu o teorię mechaniki zniszczenia. Zbadano wpływ wstępnego zagęszczenia i poziomu naprężeń na strefy lokalizacji.

Effect of steel fibres on concrete behavior in 2D and 3D simulations using lattice model.
PublikacjaW artykule przedstawiono wyniki numerycznej symulacji betonu zbrojonego włóknami stalowymi. Beton został opisany w skali mezo jako materiał 3-fazowy przy zastosowaniu modelu sieciowego. Obliczenia wykonano dla rozciągania jednoosiowego. Porównano ze sobą wyniki dwu- i trójwymiarowe.

Nickel phase deposition on V2CTx/V2AlC as catalyst precursors for a dry methane reforming: The effect of the deposition method on the morphology and catalytic activity
PublikacjaDry reforming of methane (DRM) is a promising alternative technology for the production of syngas with simultaneous utilization of two main greenhouse gases (CH4, CO2). However, DRM technology is still an industrially immature process due to the lack of stable and active catalyst. Therefore, the search for new catalytic materials is of great research interest. Recently, MAX and MXenes materials are increasingly being tested as...

Comparative study on total nitrogen prediction in wastewater treatment 1 plant and effect of various feature selection methods on machine learning algorithms performance
PublikacjaWastewater characteristics prediction in wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) is valuable and can reduce the number of sampling, energy, and cost. Feature Selection (FS) methods are used in the pre-processing section for enhancing the model performance. This study aims to evaluate the effect of seven different FS methods (filter, wrapper, and embedded methods) on enhancing the prediction accuracy for total nitrogen (TN) in the WWTP...

The effect of boron concentration on the electrical, morphological and optical properties of boron-doped nanocrystalline diamond sheets: Tuning the diamond-on-graphene vertical junction
PublikacjaIn this paper, the effect of boron doping on the electrical, morphological and structural properties of free-standing nanocrystalline diamond sheets (thickness ~ 1 μm) was investigated. For this purpose, we used diamond films delaminated from a mirror-polished tantalum substrate following a microwave plasma-assisted chemical vapor deposition process, each grown with a different [B]/[C] ratio (up to 20,000 ppm) in the gas phase....

A significance of multi slip condition for inclined MHD nano-fluid flow with non linear thermal radiations, Dufuor and Sorrot, and chemically reactive bio-convection effect
PublikacjaThe aim of this research is to discuss the significance of slip conditions for magnetized nanofluid flow with the impact of nonlinear thermal radiations, activation energy, inclined MHD, sorrot and dufour, and gyrotactic micro motile organisms over continuous stretching of a two-dimensional sheet. The governing equations emerge in the form of partial differential equations. Since the resultant governing differential equations...

Density, sound velocity, viscosity, and refractive index of new morpholinium ionic liquids with amino acid-based anions: Effect of temperature, alkyl chain length, and anion
PublikacjaIn this work, room temperature synthesis of twenty new ionic liquids (ILs) based on the N-alkyl-N-methylmorpholinium ([Mor1,R], R = 2, 3, 4, 6, 8) cation and N-acetyl-L-amino acid anions (L-alaninate, L-valinate, L-leucinate, L-isoleucinate) was described. The synthesized ILs were characterized by various spectroscopic techniques and high-resolution mass spectrometry. Furthermore, density (ρ), sound velocity (v), viscosity (η)...

Anti-cancer effect of Rumex obtusifolius in combination with arginase/nitric oxide synthase inhibitors via downregulation of oxidative stress, inflammation, and polyamine synthesis
PublikacjaCancer continues to be a leading cause of death worldwide, making the development of new treatment methods crucial in the fight against it. With cancer incidence rates increasing worldwide, ongoing research must focus on identifying new and effective ways to prevent and treat the disease. The combination of herbal extracts with chemotherapeutic agents has gained much interest as a novel strategy to combat cancer. Rumex obtusifolius...
