NADPH-Cytochrome P-450 reductase in strongly involved in activating metabolic transformatios of 9-amino-1-nitroacridine antitumor agents
PublikacjaCelem pracy było wyjaśnienie roli reduktazy cytochromu P-450 jaką odgrywa ten enzym w przemianach metabolicznych dwóch związków przeciwnowotworowych z grupy pochodnych 1-nitroakrydyny. Zastosowano metodę HPLC do rozdziału metabolitów, a badania struktur przeprowadzono stosując metodę ESI-MS. Wykazano, że badana reduktaza jest zaangażowana bardziej w metabolizm aktywacyjny 1-nitroakrydyn niż metabolizm detoksykacyjny.

Influence of the notch rounding radius on estimating the elastic notch stress concentration factor in a laser welded tee joint
PublikacjaIn recent years an increased interest of industry in sandwich-type metal structures can be observed. These structures consist of thin plates of 2.5 mm in thickness separated by stiffeners of different shapes and forms. Welds joining the plates and stiffeners are made on the outer side of the plates using laser welding technique. A locally focused source of heat causes the plate to melt creating a very narrow and elongated joint....

Chitosan-coated coconut shell composite: A solution for treatment of Cr(III)-contaminated tannery wastewater
PublikacjaTannery industry generates a large amount of Cr(III)-contaminated wastewater daily. Unless properly treated, not only this effluent contaminates the water body, but also damages the environment and threatens public health. This batch study investigates the feasibility of chitosan-coated coconut shells as a low-cost material for removing Cr(III) from tannery wastewater. Both chitosan and coconut shell (CS) waste are abundantly available...
