Driving a new perspective Professor Zygmunt Paszota, faculty of ocean engineering and ship technology, Gdansk University of Technology, Poland, explains a new approach to the Sankey Diagram for drive motors
PublikacjaThe paper presents the necessity of replacing the traditional, commonly accepted but erroneous, Sankey diagram of power decrease in the direction of power flow by the diagram, proposed by the Author, of power increase in the direction opposite to the direction of power flow. The proposed view of losses and energy efficiency should be applied to all types of drive motors and drive systems. The presented proposals open a new perspective...

The surface of the sensor used in the analysis of odorous substances
Dane BadawczeHuman industrial activity usually leads to smaller or larger interference with the ecosystem, contributing to changes affecting the quality of life. An example may be the emission of gaseous substances, not necessarily toxic, but due to their intense smell, they can cause discomfort to people exposed to their inhalation. The problem is so important...

A New Fuzzy Sliding Mode Controller with PID Sliding Surface for Underwater Manipulators
PublikacjaDesign of an accurate and robust controller is challenging topic in underwater manipulator control. This is due to hydrodynamic disturbances in underwater environment. In this paper a sliding mode control (SMC) included a PID sliding surface and fuzzy tunable gain is designed. In this proposed controller robustness property of SMC and fast response of PID are incorporated with fuzzy rules to reduce error tracking. In the control...
