Action Plan “Women”
PublikacjaEmployees of a company are not the first alternative coming into one’s mind when searching suitable successor for the business. Those belonging to the company’s management group are in many cases asked for their interest in being a successor, but the lower level an employee is in the hierarchy, the less probably he/she is inquired of his/her interest in becoming a successor. The contemporary entrepreneur may have had conflicts...

Comparative Analysis of Carbon, Ecological, and Water Footprints of Polypropylene-Based Composites Filled with Cotton, Jute and Kenaf Fibers
PublikacjaComposites containing natural fibers are considered environmentally friendly materials which is related to the reduced use of fossil fuels and the emission of carbon dioxide compared to petroleum-based polymers. Nevertheless, a complete evaluation of their environmental impact requires a broader view. This paper presents a carbon, ecological, and water footprints assessment of polypropylene-based composites filled with cotton,...

A Text as a Set of Research Data. A Number of Aspects of Data Acquisition and Creation of Datasets in Neo-Latin Studies
PublikacjaIn this paper, the authors, who specialise in part in neo-Latin studies and the his-tory of early modern education, share their experiences of collecting sources for Open Research Data sets under the Bridge of Data project. On the basis of inscription texts from St. Mary’s Church in Gdańsk, they created 29 Open Research Data sets. In turn, the text of the lectures of the Gdańsk scholar Michael Christoph Hanow, Praecepta de arte...

Non-Coaxially Rotating Motion in Casson Martial along with Temperature and Concentration Gradients via First-Order Chemical Reaction
PublikacjaThe effect of non-coaxial rotation on the transport of mass subjected to first-order chemical reaction is studied analytically. The effects of thermal radiation, buoyancy, constructive and destructive chemical reactions along with Casson fluid in rotating frame are discussed. Time evolution of primary and secondary velocities, energy and solute particles are analyzed. The behavior of flow under the variation of intensity of magnetic...

Observation of the Hydrogen Migration in the Cation-Induced Fragmentation of the Pyridine Molecules
PublikacjaThe ability to selectively control chemical reactions related to biology, combustion, and catalysis has recently attracted much attention. In particular, the hydrogen atom relocation may be used to manipulate bond-breaking and new bond-forming processes and may hold promise for far-reaching applications. Thus, the hydrogen atom migration preceding fragmentation of the gas-phase pyridine molecules by the H+, H2+, He+, He2+, and...

Studies on the charge density distribution in p-substituted phenylnitrenium cation
PublikacjaAniline and its derivatives are known to be mutagenic. This activity is caused by the formation of phenylnitrenium cations during aniline oxidation. Reactivity of the positively charged chemical species can be measured by means of s+ substituent constant. In this paper charge density distribution in p-substituted nitrenium cations and reactivity indices such as, hardness η, electronegativity χ , and electrophilicily ω were analyzed....

Cation diffusion coefficients in CuAgI via molecular dynamics simulations
PublikacjaPraca prezentuje wyniki analizy strukturalnej otrzymane poprzez symulacje dynamiczno-molekularne (zespół NpT, dwuciałowy potencjał Vashisty-Rahmana) superjonowego związku o składzie (1-x)Cu-xAg-I, x = 0.0, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1.0). Wyznaczono wartość współczynnika dyfuzji kationów i energii aktywacji w funkcji składu szkła i temperatury. Otrzymane rezultaty porównano z danymi literaturowymi.

Place Attachment and Collective Action Tendency
PublikacjaThree studies were carried out to examine how place attachment and collective action tendency are related and what role self-expansion and social interactions play in this relationship. In the first study (N = 156) we found that a more active form of attachment – place discovered – is a significant predictor of tendency to engage in collective action in favor of one’s neighborhood. In the second study (N = 197), we focused on...

Greencoin: a Proenvironmental Action-Reward System
PublikacjaThe massive destruction of the natural environment is rapidly eroding the world’s capacity to provide food and water, threatening the security of billions of people. In order to facilitate green lifestyles – understood in terms of both pro-environmental behaviors and green self-image on the one hand, and to build sustainable local and global communities, on the other, we put forward an idea of a novel action-reward system based...
