PublicationZachodnia część delty Wisły jest regionem zasobnym w wody podziemne. Występują one w utworach kredy górnej i plejstocenu. Szczególnie korzystne warunki hydrogeologiczne występują w pogrzebanej dolinie wypełnionej piaskami i żwirami, przebiegającej wzdłuż zachodniej granicy Żuław Gdańskich.

Artificial Thermal Ageing of Polyester Reinforced and Polyvinyl Chloride Coated Technical Fabric
PublicationArchitectural fabric AF9032 has been subjected to artificial thermal ageing to determine changes of the material parameters of the fabric. The proposed method is based on the accelerated ageing approach proposed by Arrhenius. 300 mm x 50 mm samples were cut in the warp and fill directions and placed in a thermal chamber at 80 °C for up to 12 weeks or at 90 °C for up to 6 weeks. Then after one week of conditioning at ambient temperature,...

Study of the anticancer potential of Cd complexes of selenazoyl-hydrazones and their sulfur isosters
PublicationThe biological activity of Cd compounds has been investigated scarce since Cd has been recognized as a human carcinogen. However, the toxicity of cadmium is comparable to the toxicity of noble metals such as Pt and Pd. The paradigm of metal toxicity has been challenged suggesting that metal toxicity is not a constant property, yet it depends on many factors like the presence of appropriate ligands. Studies on anticancer activity...

On the mechanism of photocatalytic reactions on CuxO@TiO2 core–shell photocatalysts
PublicationTitania (titanium(IV) oxide) is a highly active, stable, cheap and abundant photocatalyst, and is thus commonly applied in various environmental applications.
